The Grand Egyptian Museum opened the Grand Staircase to the public! See over 50 statues and ancient pieces from the GEM’s permanent collection by traveling up four flights of stairs, with views of the Giza Pyramids from the top.

The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), Cairo’s newest and largest museum dedicated to ancient Egypt, has a new exhibition: The Tutankhamun Immersive Experience, dedicated to Egypt’s famous pharaoh, “King Tut”. The exhibit will be included with all ticket purchases for the Grand Egyptian Museum beginning in late November.

The main entrance of the Grand Egyptian Museum
The Grand Egyptian Museum has fully opened the Great Hall, along with a few other areas! Cairo's new museum, the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), is having its grand opening sometime in 2023 (still unconfirmed), on the edge of Cairo. But visitors can now get inside the GEM to see the Great Hall, the Glass Court, the retail area, gardens, obelisk square, and eat at one of the many restaurants inside Egypt's largest museum.

Tell el Amarna was Egypt’s capital during the Amarna period. Amarna Egypt and Tell el-Amarna were Pharaoh Akhenaten’s vision of a new city centered around a new religion, the worship of the Aten, or sun disk.

When will the Grand Egyptian Museum Open? Cairo's new museum, the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), was supposed to open in November, 2022 in Giza, on the outskirts of Cairo. However, there still is no official announcement of the museum's grand opening in 2022, or even 2023. In this post, I will share what we know about when the Grand Egyptian Museum will have its opening ceremonies, whether private tours of the Grand Egyptian Museum are an option, and when I think we might learn more about the opening date for the GEM.
