On March 1st, an agreement allowing holders of ordinary passports from both countries to travel visa-free officially took effect. The agreement was signed in Bangkok, capital of Thailand, on January 28th. According to the terms of the agreement, holders of diplomatic and ordinary passports from China, as well as holders of ordinary passports from Thailand, are eligible for visa-free entry into each other’s countries.
