Spencer Turnbull signed a one-year, $2 million contract with the Philadelphia Phillies in February to provide some rotation depth while primarily operating out of the bullpen. Because Taijuan Walker missed the start of the 2024 season, he was elevated into the starting rotation.  Over five starts, Turnbull has a 1.33 ERA, tied for the fourth-lowest in all of Major League Baseball.  Last night, he pitched five innings against the Reds and allowed three hits, three walks and one earned run while striking out eight. He handed over a 3-1 lead to the bullpen and the Phillies ultimately lo ..read more

Death, taxes, and the New York Mets being total losers. In the latest embarrassing headline coming out of Queens, NY we have a “brand new” promotion from the Mets where they will offer dollar hot dogs to the small, pathetic crowd that shows up to their game against the Chicago Cubs on April 30th. We are only a few weeks removed from Steve Cohen taking to Twitter and interacting with Mets fans, saying they need to give Francisco Lindor the “Trea Turner Treatment” in effort to make him a good shortstop again. Quick Update on Lindor: Mets fans actually tried to do the Trea Turner ovation thing an ..read more

The Philadelphia Phillies went 8-2 on their 10-game homestead and have now won six straight games after sweeping both the Colorado Rockies and the Chicago White Sox.  Trust me, the Rockies and White Sox are pretty freaking horrible – in fact, they are the two worst teams in Major League Baseball. Colorado did manage to win yesterday and are now 5-16 on the season, while the White Sox are 3-18 on the year with a historically bad run differential (-71). At the same time, you can’t take beating bad baseball teams for granted. The Phillies are now 14-8 on the season, 8-2 over their last 10 ga ..read more

Atlanta Braves’ Blooper got testy on Twitter, clearly forgot his place in MLB mascot hierarchy
Phillies – The Liberty Line

Atlanta Braves ‘mascot’ and known Epstein client, Blooper, just doesn’t know when to shut up. The fuzzy abomination took to Twitter today to respond to Barstool’s Big Cat saying he’s a knock-off Phillie Phanatic. It wasn’t the first time he managed to embarrass himself talking about the greatest mascot in sports history. Blooper took issue with Pardon My Take rightly claiming he’s a Phillie Phanatic wannabe: I’d say the obsession with me is embarrassing but we’re talking about a city with a statue dedicated to a fictional boxer — Blooper (@BlooperBraves) April 22, 2024 worry about your own m ..read more

Disgusting Behavior: Philly Sports Talk Radio and the majority of Phillies fans have forgotten that baseball doesn’t officially begin until June 1st

The Philadelphia Phillies barely hung on to beat the lowly Colorado Rockies last night by a final score of 2-1. It wouldn’t have happened without JT Realmuto and Jeff Hoffman heroics or Cristian Pache roping an RBI single in the bottom of the 10th. Jeff Hoffman: ‘I wish baseball was more of a contact sport’ With the win, the Phillies are now 9-8 on the season and will host the Rockies yet again tonight at Citizens Bank Park. Bad Vibes? Don’t see it changing much? Really? Why is that? The general buzz around the Phillies and their “slow start” to the 2024 season is glaring. Philly Sports Talk R ..read more
