What is a Menopause Champion and how can they benefit your organisation? You might have heard the term “Menopause Champion” in recent months. It is a relatively new concept and is best described as a peer-to-peer support role in an organisation. The role, typically voluntary, is to act as a ‘listening ear’, a sign-poster and to help embed menopause into the workplace culture. Menopause has been a taboo topic for far too long, much like mental health was. However, nowadays organisations embrace mental health awareness, education, training, support and policy, and many have successfully appoint ..read more

I set up The Menopause Hub – Ireland’s first-ever clinic solely devoted to helping women through the menopause and perimenopause – after finding out for myself the appalling lack of help available to women in their 40s and 50s whose bodies were beginning to change.  Later, I discovered that many highly qualified women in Ireland with significant talent and experience were either quitting – or on the brink of walking out on – successful careers simply because they were finding their menopause symptoms overwhelming and were not being supported by their employer. 4 in 10 women considered giv ..read more

This has led to a crisis for patients and an increased workload for doctor and pharmacists. Our doctors have been wri ..read more
