The Detroit Lions aren't just focused on taking the next step as a franchise this offseason. They've also prioritized making amendments to the NFL's list of rules for the 2024 season.
For a second consecutive year, owner Sheila Hamp and the Lions have proposed four rule changes for the multi-billion dollar industry that is the NFL. A year ago, the league chose to adopt just one of Detroit's rule proposals: the emergency quarterback roster amendment.

Detroit Lions cornerback Cam Sutton is facing legal troubles after an arrest warrant was issued two weeks ago in Florida.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office amended the initial charge Sutton is facing online from "Aggravated Battery - Domestic Violence" to "Domestic Battery by Strangulation."
Sutton struggled significantly in his first season with Detroit after inking a three-year, $33 million contract to help bolster the secondary.

Detroit Lions NFL cornerback Cam Sutton is wanted in connection to a potential domestic violence situation in Hillsborough County, Florida.
A post appeared on social media Wednesday morning alleging Sutton is wanted for "Aggravated Battery - Domestic Violence" and included a potential license plate number of the vehicle Sutton could be traveling in.
Hillsborough County is located in the west-central portion of Florida, with a population of 1,459,762, making it the fourth-most populous county in Florida and the most populous county outside the Miami metropolitan area.

It's been a week now since the official start of free agency on March 13, and Detroit general manager Brad Holmes has certainly been busy.

The Detroit Lions targeted veteran offensive lineman Kevin Zeitler early in the free agency process.
Even though an agreement was not quickly reached, the veteran expressed to local reporters in a video conference he is looking forward to joining a successful team that has so much talent along the offensive line.

This week, additional details were released regarding the follow-up to "Quarterback" that aired in July of 2023.

The Detroit Lions reportedly inked the veteran interior offensive lineman to a one-year deal Monday evening.
Zeitler, who has played 12,035 of his 12,041 career NFL snaps at right guard (per Pro Football Focus), was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the first round of the 2012 draft.

The Detroit Lions have potentially found a veteran replacement for left guard Jonah Jackson.
According to multiple reports, guard Kevin Zeitler is planning to sign a one-year contract with Detroit Tuesday after traveling to town to take a physical.
