General manager Brad Holmes, who expressed he woke up feeling aggressive 24 hours earlier, was active on the final day, as he orchestrated three draft trades.

Once again, the Detroit Lions have traded up to acquire their next player in the 2024 NFL Draft.
After trading up five spots on Thursday night to draft cornerback Terrion Arnold, the Lions slid up into the fourth round to acquire offensive lineman Giovanni Manu with their third pick of the NFL Draft (No. 126).

The Detroit Lions continued to bolster their cornerbacks room on Day 2 of the NFL Draft, with their selection of Missouri’s Ennis Rakestraw Jr. It marked the organization’s second consecutive selection of a cornerback, as it traded up to acquire Alabama’s Terrion Arnold at No. 24 overall in round one.

The Detroit Lions are expected to only pick once on Friday — at No. 61 in the second round of the NFL Draft — after trading away their third-round pick on the Thursday, in the deal to move up in the first round, but we’ll keep track of all of the picks again here.
The national champion Michigan Wolverines — who were at the Tigers-Royals game earlier in the day — were honored before the start of the second round.
