The Neno First Grade Magistrate’s court has convicted and fined MK120,000.00 to a member of the Malaina Bank Mkhonde Club, Potifala Yohane, or in default to serve an 18-month jail term for forgery. The court heard that the convict, on April 30, 2024, went to the bank, where he presented a forged cheque worth MK639,000.00 in an attempt to steal the club’s money. Limbe Police Station Public Relations Officer Sergeant Aubrey Singanyama confirmed the matter saying; the incident happened along Makhetha- Ndirande road. A 38 year old Fisherman of Chanyanya Village of Kafue District has drowned in the Kafue River following a fight that erupted between fishermen from Nanga in Mazabuka District and Chanyanya. Nega Nega Ward Councilor, Live Choongo, disclosed that the fight concerning fishing boundaries happened on Thursday morning around 03:00 hours.
