TYRES & RIMS
We choose to run King Offroad rims and Toyo Tyres on all of our cars and caravans.
They are a 17″ x 9″ Rim with 285/70/17 At3 tyres. This is what we have found to be the ultimate touring package.
Check out more from these guys on the links below.

RIDING AROUND THE COUNTRY WITH VULY
We’ve been travelling Australia with bikes on the back of our caravan for nearly 6 years! We think they are a must have item for your children when hitting the road to explore Oz. Bikes are super handy, we’ve ridden around Uluru and the kids have scounted mates in campgrounds riding bikes. They’ve made BMX jumps in the red pindin dirt of outback Australia and hit pumptracks in the cities.
When deciding to upgrade our bikes, we looked no further than the reputable Vuly. Due to their lightweight frame (a massive consideration when in a van is weigh ..read more

Tips + Lessons Learnt
Our kids were aged 3.5 years, 2 year and 6 months old when we left on our trip. For us, it was an ideal age as there are no school commitments and it’s easy to teach them the basic stuff ourselves. They’re easily entertained and at these ages it’s all play based in regards to learning. For Justin and I, being in our early 30’s (when we left) we think it’s an ideal time to travel also, as the saying goes ‘travel while you’re young and able’, and we couldn’t agree more! We love being active with our kids and giving them the attention and love they need at this age. Howeve ..read more

Meals, health and exercise
We eat really well while travelling and nothing has changed since we left home and embarked on our travels. We eat the same foods and prepare the same meals as if we were living back in our home. Moving into our caravan hasn’t been a hindrance at all as we have all the comforts of home right in our van!

Hex Pegs are a great alternative to the old school tent peg. They are a screw type peg so you can use your battery drill or impact driver to install them into the hard ground on your camp site.. Very happy with their performance.
