‘The reactions to my movies tend to really be these big… overreactions,’ Zack Snyder begins carefully when asked if it ever gets tiring defending his movies in interviews from the polarising reception they often receive.
The 58-year-old filmmaker is chatting to me in a fancy London hotel ahead of the premiere on Netflix of the latest instalment in his sci-fi space opera franchise, Rebel Moon.

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League – it still doesn’t look any better (Picture: Warner Bros.)
Warner Bros. is making good on its threat to focus on live service games, with two new DC Comics adaptations both embracing the concept.
Some video game rumours are harder to believe than others, no matter how good the source is, but we doubt anyone had trouble believing that Warner Bros. is looking to go all-in on live service games. Especially given the reputation of cutthroat CEO David Zaslav.
The initial rumour didn’t specify any particular games, although obviously Mortal Kombat and DC Comic ..read more

Batman’s journey into live service games seems inevitable (Picture: WB Games)
Sony’s live service plans may have hit a speed bump, but Warner Bros. is going all in on ‘transforming our biggest franchises.’
Since it’s financial report season this week, with everyone from Nintendo to Take-Two revealing how well they’ve done over the last three months, there’s suddenly been a lot of talk about live service games, with Sony revealing they’ve cut their plans for 12 new titles by 2026 in half.
They are only delayed though, not cancelled, and given how lucrative games like Fortnite and Apex Legend c ..read more

His death was announced on his Facebook page, in a post that appeared to have been pre-written by the writer before his death.
‘I told them I was sick… Anything not to go to New York Comic Con. Thanx,’ the post read.

Jason Momoa wanted Amber Heard fired after the Johnny Depp defamation trial (Picture: Warner Bros/Getty)
The Aquaman 2 set was reportedly an uncomfortable work environment for Amber Heard as co-star Jason Momoa arrived drunk, dressed as Johnny Depp.
Fans weren’t sure if Heard, 37, would return to the DC franchise after a highly-publicised defamation battle with her ex-husband threatened to impact both parties careers.
The case saw a jury asked to determine if Heard had defamed Depp, 60, in a Washington Post op-ed written in 2018, in which she discussed experiencing domestic abuse but didn’t n ..read more

Hopefully this means a proper gameplay trailer soon (Picture: WB Games)
For the first time in two years there’s a new look at the upcoming Wonder Woman game, although it was only revealed by accident.
Given the failure of Gotham Knights and the problems with Suicide Squad and developer WB Games Montréal, it doesn’t seem like things are going well in the world of DC Comics video games – especially as there isn’t even a new Injustice at the moment.
It’s easy to forget, but Warner Bros. did actually announce a new DC game back in 2021: the first ever big budget Wonder Woman game. Although the on ..read more
