When I decided to make a career change, I wanted to do something that would challenge me both professionally and personally. Real Estate was as foreign to me as a new language and seemed like a perfect fit for my personality and goals.
While there are some start up costs to becoming a Realtor, (i.e. prep courses, practice exams, books, study aids, Exam costs, application and licensure fees), the cost of entry is very low compared to the potential for income. Real Estate sales offers a direct correlation between the effort and rewards. The more you put into you ..read more

Due to the recent Sellers market with its high demand and multiple competitive offer situations, many buyers are experiencing ‘buyer fatigue’. This condition has buyers, exhausted by their consistent loss, stepping out of the market. The upside to this situation is that we are beginning to see homes starting to go under contract with far less offers on the table, 2 to 4 instead of 12 to 14. Buyers willing to stay in the market, work through the ‘fatigue’ and continue to put their best foot forward are going to have a better chance of winning the bid. The ..read more

In 2017 after many years of contemplating a career in real estate, I finally took the plunge. The real estate industry is exciting, fast-paced, and honestly, the most fulfilling job I have ever had. 1. Interview An Agent
Reach out to a local realtor to learn about what the day in the life of a real estate agent is really like. You may be surprised to discover that being a realtor is not as glamorous as it seems on television. Althou ..read more

Home buying can be a stressful but rewarding experience, and that is especially true for first time buyers! There are a multitude of factors that play a role in the buying process and one of the best things a first time home buyer can do is get prepared and be informed of how exactly purchasing a home works.
1. Get Your Finances Looking Pristine
The first thing I stress to first time buyers is to get informed about their own financial situation as well as the current state of the market in the locations they are looking to purchase in. Learning a ..read more

The real estate market in Vermont in 2020 was absolutely insane, and we're expecting 2021 to get even more wild. Are you hoping to purchase a home in rural Vermont? Urban Vermont? The following 3 tips will give you a "leg up" against the competition when you decide to write an offer on your dream home this year.

It’s the standard question that arises during most introductions. When I reveal that I’m a professional scuba diver, people are usually intrigued and respond with “I’ve always wanted to do that!”. Very often I get the exact same response when I share that I am also a Real Estate Investor.
I find that people who have not taken up scuba diving have a very good reason for not having done so. However, when it comes to real estate, people who have ‘always wanted to do that’ or who ‘have thought about doing that’, can’t explain why they never have. They are just like me, or as I ..read more
