In my last blog post, my biggest motherhood challenge - the transition of becoming a mother of two, I shared with you my struggles of bonding with my second child. Now I am going to share with you how I overcame this challenge. Here are 20 different ways to bond with your child. 1. Skin on skin contact Don’t underestimate the power of touch. Touch is essential for mammalian survival, and skin-to-skin contact enables mothers and babies to use all of their senses in nurturing this new and vital relationship. People always talk about skin-to-skin contact right after birth, but skin-to-skin conta ..read more

Looking at this photos, you would have never have guessed that my biggest motherhood challenge was the transition from being a mother of one to being a mother of two. But I just want to share my experience, to let others know that if you too are struggling with this, that you are not alone, and it will get better! (And Jasper, if you are reading this in the future, please know mummy & daddy loves you very much ..read more

Schooling - it is probably one of the biggest headaches and most significant decisions any parent needs to make for their child. After all, we are talking about your child's education here, and we all want the best for your child. I personally don't think there is a "best" school out there. Why is crawling good for early brain development. Crawling is not only good for your baby's physical development, but it is good for their brain development too. It is good for babies' physical development because crawling is the first and longest period of time that your baby will be putting weight through their hands to develop strength and stability at their shoulders. This will help them to develop control of their hands and help with other skills such as: Feeding themselves Coloring Playing with toys Handwriting in the future Being able to get themselves dressed Crawling is considered ..read more

How to make your 2022 goals happen

I don't believe in New Year's resolutions; I believe in New Year's goals. You may be thinking, what is the difference? The difference is in the mindset, and half the battle is in the mindset. I find when one sets New Year resolutions, they usually are unrealistic and rigid. People go in with an "all or nothing" attitude which normally results in giving up halfway because they have setbacks or things aren't going according to plan. While goals are a general direction of what you want to achieve, giving yourself the flexibility to adapt when you things aren't going according to plan. There will ..read more

The Power of Ripping

Toddlers love ripping things, especially books, and it drives many parents up the wall. I am definitely one of them. It used to pain me whenever I saw another one of Joshua's books ripped. I find myself saying, "WHY are you ripping your books?" while Joshua just looks at me, confused as to why I was so angry with his big brown eyes and innocent look. In his eyes, he was just curious and wanted to see what happens when he rips the books. I used to feel so frustrated and irritated when I found another book ripped. It wasn't until I did a bit more research that I learnt to let it go because I lea ..read more

Welcome to my belly-binding diary! Before I left for Singapore, I was finally ready to take my first step to get back into my prenatal body. Jamu is a great way to start, as you can start soon after giving birth (2-3 weeks after a natural delivery, and 4 weeks after a C-section, or until the wound is no longer painful.) Jamu has been a popular postnatal treatment mums opt for to get back into shape. I did it with my first, and I did it again for my second. This time, I did my treatment with Restoring Mums; here is my diary documenting my day-to-day experience, so you can have a better idea of ..read more

In the past year and a half, the world as we know it changed forever. When Covid hit and spread worldwide, travel has never been the same again. Travel became a lot more difficult, and with constant rule changes traveling has been more troublesome. Relocation in the past was exciting. However, relocation during Covid, I will say it is more stressful than exciting. Honestly, the thought of quarantining with a toddler and a baby will put many people off relocation. Quarantine aside, the rules also keep changing depending on the current situation, so no one is 100% sure what the rules may be unti ..read more
