FLF (Flood Light Forever) has been pretty quiet the last couple of years. Formerly known as Davis Absolute, the 2015 Rapzilla Freshmen changed his name in early 2020. Since then he released one single “Wizard of Oz” in 2021 and a handful of singles in 2020 as well as the album FLF. Well now, 2022 is here and FLF is ready to give us his first offering of the year with “Dipped in Blood.” The song features his signature lo-fi production vibes but with energized verses. The track focuses on the gift that God has given through His Son Jesus Christ. “I really wrote this song with the intent of expou ..read more

As we continue to go back to concerts, tours, and festivals, one of the biggest obstacles of readjusting to in person performances is the atmosphere of it all. Though some of us have been back at school, work, and other social areas, it’s something about enjoying music surrounded by other fans that brings another level of engagement out of you. I found this to be the case with myself at the shows that I went to in 2021. I was back in person and seeing some of my favorite artists do their thing on stage. Yet and still, I felt a little awkward and somewhat indifferent to the atmosphere. I figure ..read more

If you didn’t keep up with the CHH Talk Instagram page during the “HOLY SMOKE!” festival, you for sure missed out. I had the pleasure of getting press clearance to interview a few of the artists who were there to enjoy the weekend, and even some artists on the line up. I figured it would be best to culminate all my concert interviews into one series titled “Days Backstage.” So, without further ado, here is the third installment of Days Backstage. Before the "HOLY SMOKE!" festival in July, many people were not familiar with the name ‘Tylynn’ or her music. In all honesty I would have numbered a ..read more

A Month after the Release of "U P P E R H A N D", indie tribe hasn’t let up at all, and I think this gives us opportunity to learn from their genius. About a year ago, a shockwave hit the CHH space as Reach Records artist WHATUPRG, and then independent Jarry Manna, announced via Twitter that they had left the collective indie tribe. This was very surprising news simply because the tribe was the dream team that no one could touch. Made up of nobigdyl., Mogli the Iceburg, Jarry Manna, and WHATUPRG, any body of work, collab, or joint performance the tribe did was something to be in awe of. But ye ..read more

Check out the link below! “In an exclusive series our writer Frederick Hicks sits down with an array of people within the CHH industry to talk about what has quarantine meant for them, and what did it mean for their future?
