Chili sin carne – the vegan version of chili con carne
A recipe that’s been on my list for soooo long, and now it’s finally so sophisticated that I want to share it with you: chili sin carne! Chili sin carne is the meatless version of the original dish, because “sin carne” is Spanish for “without meat”. But this chili has all the more intense flavour because I have refined it with a little cacao powder. Tobias, my business partner, would say here: “The plates will be licked clean again after the meal.” He’s right! So let’s not talk about the hot chilli for long, let’s get started!

Black Chocolate Sticky Rice with Berries for breakfast
Oh, I love those moments when I have a little inspiration to try something new that sounds perfect in my head and then tastes delicious in real life. That’s exactly how this recipe for black chocolate sticky rice with berries sprouted. I was sitting with my business partner in a restaurant in Hamburg after the Dein Kakao trade fair, and we ate some really tasty mango sticky rice with black rice. And we both couldn’t get enough of it. It was just sooo, sooo good. I realized how much I like black sticky rice and that it would be perfect for ..read more

Simple, homemade pea guacamole
I have to admit that I used to love eating avocados, but my sustainable conscience kept reminding me to reduce my consumption a little. Not only because avocados use a lot of water, but also because they are not a local “fruit or vegetable” in Germany!? By the way, the correct answer is fruit! Botanically speaking, the avocado is a berry and is, therefore, a fruit!
While avocado guacamole will always have a special place in my heart and will certainly end up on my plate from time to time, it’s worth giving guacamole made from peas a try! Peas don’t just grow loca ..read more

Protein-rich lentil pasta salad – super easy, quick and healthy
Just lately, I’ve been asked more and more for recipes and tips on how to more easily meet your protein needs. In fact, protein is also often the macronutrient that, along with carbohydrates and fats, often gets a bit of a raw deal in the general diet. Mostly, this is because our favourite foods are often a combination of carbohydrates and fats: Pizza Margherita, pasta with pesto, bread with cheese, French fries…
Lots of snacks also have either mainly carbohydrates like fruit or fats like nuts. Meeting your protein needs, especial ..read more

Cacao meets banana – that’s all summer needs
There is really only one thing you can eat in these warm summer temperatures: Ice cream! And all the better if you only need two ingredients: cacao and bananas! It is only important that you use ripe, already slightly brown bananas, so they not only have the desired consistency but also a pleasant sweetness. For a particularly chocolaty taste, simply use your favourite type of Dein Kakao (self-promotion) and you can easily vary the flavour. Depending on which cacao flavour you choose, you can conjure up different ice cream. That’s why I always have ..read more

Nibble, nibble, gnaw…
Since my vegan buffalo wings have gone down so well so far, I’ve realized how much I like crispy breaded food! Today, we have a new episode of Rosa’s breaded dishes: crispy tofu sticks with cornflakes coating! On one hand, these irresistibly delicious sticks are not only easy to prepare, but also a fantastic alternative to traditional fried snacks. Personally, I ate them for the first time in one of my favourite Munich restaurants. Actually, I was also able to infect my best friend with my cravings for them pretty quickly. All the better to be able to prepare them easily ..read more

… and the feeling that everything is alright
Have you ever asked yourself what it means to you to “come home”? Coming home can look different for everyone. It can be a place or people, but also a feeling that arises in a certain situation and flows through your body. Home or coming home – only you can determine what that means to yourself. Here are a few thoughts from me personally…
My parents
When I arrive at Mom and Dad’s late at night, slowly open the bedroom door and see the sparkle in Mom’s eyes. Because she couldn’t fall asleep with anticipation and was waiting for me. And is just happy ..read more

Vegan Chocolate Pancakes – the perfect start to your day
Well, vegan chocolate pancakes are actually always a good idea – not only for breakfast! The other day I made myself some after hiking and I can’t tell you how blown away I was. They are also super quick to prepare, you usually have all the ingredients at home, and they are always simply delicious. Also, you can easily vary their flavour by using a different flavour of cocoa. This time I chose “Rosas Mischung”, because it gives them a very pleasant spicy note with ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, and Szechuan pepper. So, they are perfectly se ..read more
