As the old adage goes…April showers, bring May flowers. It’s an exciting time here in the state of Vermont as we’re on the precipice of adult-use cannabis sales. Many of you may be seeing numerous articles starting that medical dispensaries can begin selling adult-use cannabis on May 1, 2022.
While this is permitted by state regulations, CeresMED will not be ready to serve adult-use cannabis consumers on May 1st. While the official date on which we will begin adult-use sales is still up in the air, we expect it to be near October 1, 2022.
In the spirit of transparency, we want to ..read more

Greetings from CeresMED,
Last month we announced an increase in pricing across specific product categories beginning in 2022. Of course, no one is ever excited about a price increase. We made this difficult decision as a result of a steady escalation in our daily operational costs over the past couple of years. We tried to hold back the decision as long as we could. We hoped that we would emerge from the pandemic with positive shifts in the economy, improvements in the supply chain, and changes to state and federal legislation that would make ..read more

Greetings from CeresMED,
We are growing again!
Nine years ago this month, we started construction on our first production facility in South Burlington for Champlain Valley Dispensary. We started small – really small. Within just over 5000sq ft, we created space for all stages of cultivation, harvest, drying, curing, packaging, inventory, an infusion kitchen (what I affectionately refer to as the “hallway version”) and eventually, an analytical lab. We also had office space here, barely enough to accommodate our non-profit bo ..read more

‘Tis the season for baked goods! From our kitchen to yours, here is Senior Production Manager Amy Bacon’s recipe for making cannabis-infused sugar cookies. While these cookies are not currently available at our dispensaries, we invite you to make your own precisely-dosed cookies using our 420mg THC Cannabutter. Each tablespoon contains 52.5mg THC. Use as much or as little as you want depending on your desired dose. This recipe uses a full stick, resulting in approximately 17.5mg THC/cookie. Cut that dose in half by using a half a stick of our infused Cannabutter and a half a stick of plain butt ..read more

Integrative health care. A concept that has only recently been adopted in Western Medicine. What is integrative health care (IHC)? It is the practice of “applying coordinated care among different providers (and maybe different institutions) in conventional and complementary approaches to care for the whole person,” as described by our Community Educator, Ada Puches.
Heather Hayes, a CPP alumni
The most common qualifying condition for the Medical Program at our dispensaries is chronic pain. A forward-thinking way to treat the condition is through IHC, and we feel fortunate to have an op ..read more

Angela Young, a member of our cultivation team here at CeresMED, offers some tips to assist you with these last stages of your outdoor home grow and shares advice on how to harvest your plants.

Greetings from CeresMED,
Yesterday I listened in on a conversation between best-selling author Michael Pollan and Madison Margolin, the editor of Double Blind Magazine. The topic was the power of storytelling as a tool to advance the safe and effective use of plant-based medicine. Currently, psychedelics are following a similar path as cannabis in that people who use them for health and wellness are bravely beginning to share their stories for the benefit of society as a whole. Through storytelling, or what the science community refers to as “anecdo ..read more

Greetings from CeresMED!
Creating this month’s message feels like a round robin of thoughts and ideas competing to take center stage. I am attributing it to the seasons and the rhythms I have developed within them throughout my life. For me, the fall has always been a time of increased productivity and creativity. The start of school and return to organized sports, the sunny, crisp days and the cool nights, the local harvests, and the shift in diet from salads to stews…all of it gets my wheels turning and my motor running. This month I translate t ..read more
