“I Want to Know What Love Is” is one of the best power ballads of all time. In fact, the song is Foreigner’s only number-one hit. However, former singer Lou Gramm has mixed feelings about the song, especially considering Foreigner’s pending induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Gramm is grateful for the song’s success and even says he loves it, but he didn’t like how the power ballad “pigeon-holed us into something” that Foreigner wasn’t.   Gramm was then asked about what Foreigner’s induction could look like, since those sets are t ..read more

Kelly Clarkson was over the moon about getting to perform “Crazy on You” with Heart when the band appeared on her talk show The Kelly Clarkson Show. The truncated rendition of the tune can be seen below. Before the performance, Ann Wilson shared how “Crazy on You” was the first song she ever sang in a recording studio, which blew Clarkson’s mind. Who should induct Jimmy Buffett when he is honored posthumously by the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame at the induction ceremony this October? Buffett, of course, died last year at age 76. On Sunday, April 21, nearly everyone was surprised to see that Jimmy Buffett is being honored by the Rock Hall. We’re not saying that he doesn’t deserve it. However, somehow, he’s never been on the ballot. Buffett — alongside punk rock legends the MC5, legendary singer Dionne Warwick and songwriter Norman Whitfield — is being honored in the Musical Excellence category. That category tends to be for artists who ..read more

Bernie Taupin will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this Friday (Nov. 3). The honor is long overdue, but the songwriter has a hunch why this has happened, and it has to do with Elton John. When Sir Elton was inducted into the Rock Hall in 1994, he famously gave his statue to Taupin. John said, in part, “I’m kind of feel cheating standing up here accepting this, because without Bernie, there wouldn’t have been an Elton John at all.”   RELATED: Bernie Taupin Memoir Has Little Mention of Elton John Taupin touched on this moment in a new interview with Cleveland.com.
