Opens 09 October 2023, the 6-point system has three trances for a single person or family to meet residence. Skilled employment in New Zealand is counted toward the points. The List of Qualifications Exempt from Assessment (“LQEA”) will be updated in phases and be used to determine if a qualification is recognised as an equivalent New Zealand qualification or require NZQA to perform an assessment. Congratulations to the Kotze family on their 2021 Resident Visas. To think of it, their eldest son arrived so close to the Borders closing back in March 2020 [it was the second to last flight, I think]! This family worked tirelessly to ensure they did everything they could possibly do to apply for residence but the Skilled Migrant Category closed. Well Johan, Luzelle and Pieter, the wait is finally over!!! Today, they start a new life as hard-working residents of New Zealand. Thank you for teaching me the importance of prayer! Most applicants for residence class visas must have an acceptable standard of health.   The prior threshold for determining whether health conditions impose significant costs was $41,000, over:  five years ..read more
