March 2024, Fishing Report.   Our ice fishing season has officially ended for this winter. Thank you to all our guests for coming out on the ice with us this season! We had some great days on the lakes and a number of nice fish come through the ice this year! We are looking forward to the upcoming open water season and very excited once again for opening day (May 8th) to get on those Northern Pike and Walleye! *** Something to mention ***   We only use spin cast fishing rods and reels on our boat. February 2024 Fishing Report   We are now experiencing a nice warm up in February with great ice conditions and above average temperatures most days. The driving conditions on Crawling Valley Reservoir are fantastic with minimal snow cover making for easy access to most locations on the lake. One important tip for ice fishing in early February is to consider downsizing lure size and presentations, as the fish can become very selective during mid-winter. November 2023, Fishing Report.   We have enjoyed a mild November thus far. This has allowed for a lot of the lakes in the area to remain open to fishing. We have enjoyed a mild summer with many sunny warm days on the lakes! The catch rates for Walleye during our guarantee catch trips have been excellent with several double headers and even a few triple headers! Our new Early Riser Trips and Sunset Trips have been a huge success this year! Even though these trips are only 3 hours in length, everyone has caught fish! Our fishing trips for Walleye and Northern Pike run until late October, and the fishing will only get better once the fall weather arrives in our region. Our 2023 open water season kicked off in early May on our regular Northern Pike and Walleye lakes. For the first half of May, the water temps were below average, and the ice held on very late into April which in turn kept the temps down. But things quickly changed at the end of May and into June, as above average heat started to warm the lakes rapidly. The quick warm up turned on the bite for both Walleye and Northerns. April, 2023 Fishing Report.   The ice fishing is coming to an end soon, as we are at the tail end of the season. However, we still have several days available to book your trip on the ice in the Banff & Canmore regions. The ice is going to be in great shape well into the later part of April this year.
