Image of Cesar Shavez Beer, Labour and Cinco de Mayo By Adam Corsaut   What is Cinco de Mayo? It’s not a trick question I promise. First of all, it is not Mexican Independence Day (that would be September 16th). So, if not a celebration of Mexican freedom what is it? Many people do not know. And to different people it means different things. In Mexico at large it is simply May the 5th. In the state of Puebla, it is an anniversary of when the natives of Mexico defeated the military forces of Napoleon III (even if only briefly, I’ll get to that shortly). “I don’t drink beer”
Analog Brewing Blog

“I don’t drink beer” said my coworker as we reminisced about the escapades of the previous weekend. “I don’t like the flavour” they acknowledged. This is a claim I’ve heard every now and then, but the first thing that pops into my head is that the statement “I don’t like the flavour of beer” might as well be “I don’t like the flavor of food”. (I’ll forgive you if you giggle while imagining people hopping around blindly with the VR helmets on.) Perhaps it’s nostalgia that makes myself and others long for the games of our youth. Or is it a reflection on modern gaming culture? When we purchased games for the NES [Nintendo Entertainment System] they were difficult. They d ..read more
