A controversy is brewing in a rugged seaside community in a corner of the Bay of Fundy. The owner of a 40-hectare property in the middle of Scots Bay, N.S., wants to open a private campground, but she’s facing opposition from neighbours who say the operation will disrupt their way of life, and even their livelihoods. According to the RV Industry Association (RVIA), their March 2024 survey of manufacturers revealed that total RV shipments for the month reached 32,243 units, marking a 1.2 percent increase from the 31,869 units shipped in March 2023. RVIA President and CEO Craig Kirby commented, “Our cautious optimism for the year remains as RV shipments have risen over 9 percent through the first quarter of 2024.
