Finding these precious beauties is sure sign that Christmas is on its way! This colorful winter-blooming plant can last for many years to come with the proper care.
Types: Christmas Cactus, Easter cactus and Thanksgiving Cactus! Ey-eye-eye! There are subtle differences between them all. Christmas cactus, Schlumbergera buckleyi is the most common with tubular, brightly colored flowers. Fall in the Land of Enchantment is a great time to plant all sorts of things! The temperatures have come down from the summer and we don't have the winds that we get in spring.
Trees, shrubs, perennials and roses can be planted now. Don't forget to water!
Spring-flowering bulbs can be planted now. Daffodils and tulips hold such promise for the next spring. Use a bulb fertilizer when planting.
Refresh your annual flower bed or containers with pansies, mums and kale for a splash of winter color. Planting a few spring-flowering bulbs in containers will add a little extra excitement to spring.

It’s time to bring your houseplants in! With winter approaching, you’ll want to bring your plants indoors, but not the pests! First, you’ll need to inspect the plant. Properly identifying any pest is the first step in treatment.
Aphids are very common. They come in many colors and they go after plants’ new growth. Aphids look like small bugs in bunches and will leave a sticky, honey dew-like substance behind.
