Alberta Soccer is delighted to announce the coaches for the 2025 Canada Summer Games. For our Female Team, our coaches are Alessandro Pappalardo (Head Coach) and Alesha Weicker-Pasternak (Assistant Coach). For our Male Team, our coaches are Kondeh Mansaray (Head Coach) and Paul Ferries (Assistant Coach).
The Games will take place in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, from August 8 to 24, 2025. Team Alberta will participate in a total of 17 sports, bringing 26 teams to the competition. With the growth of the Alberta Player Development League (previously AYSL) and the beginning of League1 Alberta, Alberta now has a competitive pathway to support the long-term development of players in the province. In collaboration with Canada Soccer, Alberta Soccer is developing a High-Performance program for the province’s high-potential female players aged 15-18. This program will be licensed by Canada Soccer, which will be recognized by specific standards expected for national high-performance programs nationwide.

Canada Summer Games – REGISTRATION NOW OPEN FOR MALE AND FEMALE TEAMS TRYOUTS
Alberta Soccer is excited to open registration for the tryouts for our Male and Female teams participating in the 2025 Canada Summer Games. The Games will take place in St. John’s, NL from Friday, August 8, 2025 (Week 1 participants arrive) to Monday, August 25, 2025 (Week 2 participants depart).
The Male team is scheduled to play in Week 1 and the Female team in Week 2.
