Sara & Alec had a very memorable wedding day, to say the least! They traveled to Sara’s childhood church in Columbus, Indiana to have their wedding. St. Peter’s has a large, open sanctuary with extremely high ceilings, a few windows to the left and right of the altar, and a few more windows at the top of the sanctuary. As their ceremony began, glimpses of the weather turning could be seen through the windows and the wind pounded the rain against the glass sideways. The beautiful organ music filled the room and it was very easy to ignore the changing weather.
Sara entered with her dad and ..read more

Bridal boudoir can boost your confidence before the wedding.
For many of my wedding clients, the most nerve-wracking part of the day is having everyone looking at them. It can feel like a lot of pressure to look and feel your best, especially since you have invested in photography and videography. I always tell my wedding clients this…
“If I can help you feel confident in your underwear, imagine how easy it will be to feel confident in a wedding dress!”
You deserve to feel your very best on your wedding day and a boudoir session might be one great step to making that happen ..read more

Boudoir can be such a fun experience before your wedding day. With all the planning you have been doing for the wedding, it might feel like a big task to also plan what to wear for your shoot. Here are a few ideas to get your creativity flowing!
White lingerie is a great choice for a bridal feel in a boudoir session.
The obvious choice is snagging a few great pieces of white lingerie. This will immediately give a session a more “bridal” vibe. Some of my lighter-skinned clients worry about feeling washed out by white clothing but this is rarely the case. You can go as spicy or as ..read more

In the beautiful historic locations of Georgetown, Kentucky, Aaron and Mikaela said I do at Georgetown Baptist Church and celebrated at The Cardome Renaissance Center.
As a photographer, our goal is to capture the emotion and the beauty of the day. I want to come right out and say I failed at this in one way. These pictures do not compare to seeing the way Aaron looks at Mikaela in person. After their first look, Mikaela paused to tell me something and while she was talking, I could see Aaron just looking at her and smiling with all the adoration in the world. I even stopped to mention it. Th ..read more

We fell in love with Nathan & Melissa at their consult. We somehow got on the conversation of food (which shouldn’t surprise anyone) and Melissa immediately mentioned Moe Mondays… which is my FAVORITE. Nathan loves to build things and spend time outdoors so I think Nick was equally as smitten;)
To celebrate their engagement, we started off in downtown Lexington and lucked out with the most perfect weather. The flowers were in bloom and the sun was shining so we got to use a few new spots I had not utilized yet downtown. I loved their willingness to trust me with portrait locations! We add ..read more

When Claire originally reached out to me, I rushed to check my calendar and realized I was booked for her date. I wrote back to her and sadly told her I would not be able to be her wedding photographer. Then a few days later, the wedding originally on their date had to make adjustments, I was all of a sudden available for her date, and scrambled to write an email to her right then and there from my phone to let her know! I am so thankful fate worked in our favor and I get to be there to see Nick and Claire get married.
Claire and Nick both grew up here in Lexington and we wanted to highlight ..read more
