SEGA has announced the launch of the Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- Sweep the Board! game on the Nintendo Switch today. A new key visual and PV trailer have been released for The Irregular at Magic High School Season 3, which begins its “Steeplechase Arc” next week on May 3, 2024.  The 30-second trailer highlights Tatsuya Shiba and his friends preparing to face a new threat. The WIXOSS multimedia franchise has received an anime PV/sequel, titled selector loth WIXOSS, in commemoration of its 10th anniversary. The PV is produced by J.C.STAFF with Yukie Hiyamizu (selector destructed WIXOSS co-animation director, Toradora prop designer) as character designer and co-storyboard artist, director, and key animator. The Mahjong Soul mobile and PC game has received an animated trailer to celebrate its 5th anniversary in Japan. The three-minute-plus trailer serves as a short film following four friends who share a love for the game. Becoming working adults affects their multiplayer sessions, but their friendship manages to endure, and they finally meet up for the first time in a while at the end of the video. The 2.5 Dimensional Seduction anime adaptation has a new character trailer, which gives us our first look at Noa/NONOA and Aria Kisaki, another two members of the main cast.  Sayumi Suzushiro is the voice of Noa, an up-and-coming cosplayer who’s not very sociable, while Sayumi Watabe is playing  the more outgoing Aria. Malaysian cinema chain Golden Screen Cinemas announced that the Haikyu!!: The Dumpster Battle anime movie will begin screening on May 16. A fan’s screening is also planned and will have details revealed later. Variety has reported that the Studio Ponoc-produced The Imaginary movie, which Netflix picked up in January, will begin streaming on July 5. Additionally, there are plans to have an Oscar-qualifying run for the film. The Imaginary had its Japanese theatrical premiere on December 15, and is set to compete at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival as part of the feature film official selection. Kodansha USA confirmed with Anime News Network that it has licensed the fantasy manga adaptation of Nahoko Uehashi’s The Beast Player manga adaptation for digital release on May 14, 2024. The first tankobon volume will be available upon release across all participating digital vendors.  Itoe Takemoto is handling the art for The Beast Player manga, with Uehashi credited with the story. GKIDS and Anime Limited have announced a multi-territory acquisition of Naoko Yamada’s latest anime film The Colors Within (known in Japan as Kimi no Iro). The film will be released in Japan on August 30, 2024 after an initial delay from its Fall 2023 release. GKIDS will screen the film in North America, Latin America, Australia and New Zealand in both English subbed and dubbed next winter.
