I met N + D at their awesome mid-century home in Longmont, CO, for an at home newborn photo session on a gorgeous late fall day. I was in love with their house as soon as I pulled up – just the perfect amount of sunshine, warmth and coziness for newborn photos with their sweet babe (and two pups!). Longmont has a special place in my heart – my husband grew up in a home on the west side of Longmont, and my in-laws still live there, so I spend most holidays and birthdays at their home. I’ve photographed weddings at Roosevelt Park and Oskar Blues Oak Room, painted pottery at Crackpot ..read more

Teagan | Lory State Park Senior Photos

This senior session at Lory State Park in Fort Collins is summer in photo form. Sunflowers, SO much sunshine, tall grass, warm enough to wade in the water…I’m writing this while watching the snow fall outside my window, and very much wishing for those warm August evenings in the foothills! Teagan wanted a location with water, so I knew Lory State Park is where we had to go. Located on the western edge of Horsetooth Reservoir, it’s has a bit more variety than the steep cliffs on the eastern side of the water. That said, there isn’t much shade until the sun dips behind the mountains, so you have ..read more

This session stole my heart for SO many reasons! I met K+L in the summer of 2021, when I helped with their engagement session in the RiNo district. While they had a Wyoming wedding (hello, Jackson Hole), I headed back to Denver for their in-home maternity session in summer 2023 (blog coming soon!), and finally got to meet their new baby during their newborn photo session in late 2023. K and L now live in an adorable home in northwest Denver. Tree-lined streets, Craftsman porches, patio beers…I can see why they haven’t left Colorado! We spent a lovely morning hanging out in their s ..read more

As a mom of three, I know exactly how hard it can be to get your kids excited for any scheduled task, much less family photos. One of the questions I hear most often from clients is, "How old should our baby be for newborn photos?" And honestly, I struggle a bit to answer! Since I am a lifestyle newborn photographer, and do not need a sleepy baby for posing, I have quite a bit of flexibility when it comes to scheduling your session. While most of my clients tend to schedule their photos for when their baby is 7 to 21 days old, that doesn't work for all families. Health challenges, sleep schedules, visiting family, work schedules - all can come into play when scheduling a newborn session. When looking at the following ..read more

There is no better feeling than getting an inquiry from someone you admire, especially when they've been a champion of LGBTQ families in Wyoming. Hannah was a local pastor, and I originally met her during a legislative committee meeting where LGBTQ issues were being discussed. So I was thrilled when she got in touch to ask about a family session for her, her wife, and their two kids at Holliday Park, near their home. Their family had spent many, many, MANY hours there during the start of the pandemic, with a toddler and very new baby. They wanted to document their time and memories in the park ..read more
