It’s garden planning time. On Dec 10, the Garden Leaders will be hosting a get together at the garden to talk “seeds”. We will start at 8:30 am and have a short presentation about seeds “generally” and then we can get into specific questions about vegetables and varieties. We will also update everyone on the latest news about the garden. Ann Jarrell has kindly gotten some extra seeds from the Nevada Master Gardeners that we will be giving away. PCG Gardeners: What an August.  It’s in the 90’s, it’s raining and our gardens are loving it.  Who has got lost in Li’s maze?? My “cottage garden” of thoughts for this time of the year. It is time to begin to plan your fall garden.  Cool season veggies do great as the weather cools. Broccoli, Cabbage Kale Lettuce, Peas.  It’s time to retire those tomato plants. As you clean out your beds, please put old plants that you are pulling out, on the south end of the garden, not in the dumpster.  We are trying to cut down on our green waste going to the landfill. PCG Gardeners: How is everyone!  I hope you all have dirty hands, mine have been way to clean.  As many of you know I was absent most of the spring due to obligations at my job.  I am excited to say that I am working civilized hours again and I am happy to be strolling around our garden.
