Pride Month is a big deal every year here at Broken Frontier. Last year at BF we managed to get a review, interview, feature or creator commentary up every single weekday to celebrate our LGBTQIA+ comics community. You can look back on it all in one place here. If you attended the Comics Cultural Impact Collective online meeting in January (and the turn-out was huge) you will already be aware of the multi-perspective conversations being had about the current state of the UK comics scene. Your favourite online comics social is back as we return to our guest artist format! Our fortnightly Gosh! Comics and Broken Frontier Drink and Draw takes place this Thursday, March 21st. This time we will be basing themes on popular spooky kids comic Monster Fun. Not only do our online D&Ds keep all those who would meet at The King’s Arms in Soho, London every month (in those fondly remembered pre-March 2020 days) in regular contact, they also allow us to expand our reach for the event to a more global audience.

Announced this week, the Lakes International Comic Art Festival‘s new British Comics Now programme is set to give UK indie creators some amazing opportunities in the course of coming months. This is a really exciting initiative and one that Broken Frontier will be participating in as our own Editor-in-Chief Andy Oliver (now painfully talking in the third person) will be playing a part in the creator selection process.
