Maren Morris shocked quite a few fans when she hinted she was leaving country music behind. So what’s the real deal?
Maren was on “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen” when a viewer asked her a question that set her up to answer that question definitively. “Is it true that you are working with (noted pop/rock producer) Jack Antonoff on the next album, and, since you ..read more

While last week’s CMA Awards got most of the country fans’ attention, there was another awards ceremony going on in Nashville that, for many artists, was equally as important – the BMI Awards.
The BMI Awards are more of a “behind-the-scenes” recognition of artistry, far removed from prime time television and red carpets. But the musicians and songwriters show up and show out, even if the show is mostly for the folks that work on Music Row.
At this year’s awards, both Morgan Wallen and Luke Combs were named “Songwriter of the Year” and when both were on stage, Luke proved once ag ..read more

Friday was Veterans Day, and “The Kelly Clarkson Show” did a special episode dedicated to the holiday. As part of that, she featured a video of one veteran performing a song for an enthusiastic crowd at the Grand Ole Opry.
Of course, that veteran was Craig Morgan, who performed his hit “Almost Home” in front of a packed house recently. The crowd loved it, and loved it even more when Morgan was joined for the second verse by none other than Jelly Roll.

From the highest of highs to the lowest of lows in a split second. Jelly Roll was on that rollercoaster ride Wednesday night at the CMA Awards. The country superstar opened the ceremony with his performance of “Need A Favor” with Wynonna; he closed the night with his performance of “Love Can Build A Bridge With K. Michelle. In between, he earned his very first CMA award for Newcomer of the Year. Those are some pretty lofty highs.
It would all come crashing down – literally. The singer apparently got a little careless with his CMA trophy backstage and dropped it. The trophy ..read more
