As much as we love our cocktails at Michigan Chews & Brews, we’ve never actually been that good at creating them. When Gypsy Vodka reached out to collaborate, we jumped at the chance to play mixologists. We even paired their spirits with other Michigan heavyweights like MAWBY, McClure’s, and Faygo. Needless to say, all of our drinks turned out phenomenally. Which one do you want to try the most? Although we’ve traveled to many corners of Michigan, there’s no place like home. Surrounded by more well-known cities like Royal Oak and Birmingham, Berkley is often overlooked when it comes to dining and shopping. We’re trying to change that. Allow us to share a few standouts. Amici’s Pizza & Living Room Amici’s Pizza (Berkley, MI) Creative artisan pizzas and a martini list as long as the eye can see is what you’ll fin ..read more

It is not very often that you get a big plate of delicious served with a side of nostalgia. We got lucky enough to get both when we visited Big Boy this week. The two halves of MICB grew up on different sides of the state, and we didn’t have a ton of overlap on childhood experiences. Big Boy was the one thing we did share. Fun Fact: we both tried seafood for the first time at their famous lent seafood bar and were hooked. We have the best memories of sitting under the glass dome stuffing our faces. Fast forward to 2023, and it’s a whole new Big Boy, with the same charm we remembered at a kid ..read more

Every eating adventure we take across Michigan bears the question — where should we stay? While we don’t typically talk about our experiences at hotels as we travel across Michigan, we need to talk about The Kingsley Bloomfield Hills. The hotel holds a special place in our hearts: we were married there. When we received an invitation to experience the newly renovated property, we jumped at the chance. If you’ve followed us for a while, you know that we rarely get personal. Providing non-biased recommendations has always been our cornerstone, so having our names and faces plastered all over soc ..read more
