The Barns at Chip Ridge Wedding | Monica & Luke
Monica and Luke’s wedding at the Barns at Chip Ridge in Abingdon, VA is today’s blog sneak peek! This venue has one of the most perfect rolling hill backdrops I’ve ever seen. It reminds me of the view from my parents’ house where I grew up. It made the day feel even more special for me!
The Timing of an Outdoor Wedding
When you are working with your wedding planner, venue, and photographer, the timing of your wedding when taking place outdoors is everything. As you might think, sunlight and shadows control all aspects of outdoor photography ..read more

Today’s blog post just makes me giddy with excitement; it’s not every day you get to share holidays and memories with one of your couples! I am so excited to share just some of my favorites of my brother’s private mountain wedding! My new sister-in-law was absolutely stunning; I was practically photographing the entire thing through happy tears. I love them both so much!
One of my favorite details is the coloring of the bridesmaid dresses. They just absolutely pop against the rolling green grasses and trees of the natural backdrop of the location.

A Wedding at The Biltmore Estate | Drew & Karla
Drew and Karla’s wedding at The Biltmore Estate was a photographer’s dream! If you’ve grown up in the South, this is a bucket list venue to photograph a wedding at. I’m so happy they chose me to document their big day!
This beautiful, joy-filled couple found me via my Pinterest! (If you don’t follow me there or on Instagram, I’d love it if you took the time and did so!) They wanted to have a small and intimate mountain wedding.
Well before their wedding day at The Biltmore, I went down to St. Augustine, Florida for an absolutely darling engag ..read more

Mary Jane and Brooks’ Downtown Greenville, SC Wedding at the AC Hotel
Today we’re traveling up the interstate to Mary Jane and Brooks’ downtown Greenville, SC wedding! This elegant, intimate wedding included an absolutely perfect rooftop, golden light cocktail hour. They also hired one of the most electric and fun wedding bands I’ve had the pleasure of working with. It was an absolutely perfect day!
When It Comes To Love, Timing Is Everything
Needless to say, COVID wrecked quite a few things, but not this love story! Brooks and Mary Jane first met on Bumble and had their first date in February ..read more

Becca and Adam’s Engagement Session at Cator Woolford Gardens
Becca and Adam’s dreamy engagement session in Atlanta’s Cator Woolford Gardens revels in the beauty of the gardens and their love. As you look through these photos, the joy of this couple is just absolutely infectious. We spent the entire session smiling!
(But, if I’m being honest, the true star of this session just might be their infectiously photogenic pup!)
Their wedding is next fall and I am so excited for it! I recently had the privilege of capturing another Jewish wedding for another of my couples. I am excited to see Becca an ..read more

Engagement Session at the Hills and Dales Estate Michael & Sarah
Michael and Sarah’s engagement session at The Hills and Dales Estate quickly shot to the top of my favorites! In a word, this venue is spectacular. The fact this couple adores each other only made the pictures shine that much brighter.
Despite currently residing in Texas, they flew in for our session together. I’d fly halfway across the country for this venue as well! They booked the Hills and Dales Estate at their private rate, which meant it was just the three of us on the grounds for this session. With the dreamy lighting ..read more

Small Business Branding Session Amber Baxter, Hairstylist
One thing I’ve come to love about being a photographer is helping fellow small business owners to highlight their business and grow their brands. The modern American economy is built on the shoulders of small businesses, as everyone knows. Today, I want to give you a peak into Amber Baxter‘s business branding session. Amber is a hairstylist at The Powder Room Salon in Cartersville, Georgia that specializes in hair extensions and hair coloring.

The Hills and Dales Estate
The Hills and Dales Estate in LaGrange, Georgia is a wedding and engagement photographer’s dream. These grounds are such a dream, I wish I could have a session or wedding here every single weekend! In my next blog, I’ll be sharing more about the couple you’ll see in these pictures. But as I’m obsessed with this location, I wanted to take some time to hype it up as well!
Fuller E. Callaway purchased the property in 1912 to be the home of his family estate. Callaway was a prominent businessman in the textile industry, using his entrepreneurial spirit to develop a regio ..read more

Downtown Athens Engagement Session
Dawson & Tanner
Tanner and Dawson’s downtown Athens engagement session is bursting with light. Looking at these photos, I see this radiant glow emanating from the couple enhanced by the atmosphere around them. Perfection!
We had a lovely time walking through all the historic buildings of downtown Athens. As you can see, the sun was ready to put in that work with the best natural lighting! I love taking pictures in this area because everything comes together seamlessly. You would think I would get tired of the location as a local photographer, but for me ..read more

Gabrielle + Wesley
Gabrielle and Wesley’s downtown Atlanta rooftop engagement session was an absolutely perfect modern take on timeless ideas. There is something dreamy and ethereal about mixing elegance and urban skylines that draws the eye. It’s hard to look away from these photos (and not just because the couple is perfect)!
Gabrielle brought all of the inspiration for this session. She wanted the photos to feel like they could be nestled somewhere in Manhattan, despite being taken in Atlanta. Captivating architecture and skylines really enhance the atmosphere and vibe around this dynamic c ..read more
