Last week I got the heartbreaking news that my dear friend Alan has passed away. A stroke then a heart attack.. Alan and John lived in Australia 11/12 years ago and would come into Verushka, Tora and my shows weekly. They were both as camp as tits and loved everything we did. We quickly became good friends with both of them. Now every gay knows that Bette Midler started her entertainment journey at the local “steam bath”…. Granted Bette singing and myself are probably the furtherest thing apart but when asked to do a number at the “Candyland” after party at the local steam room…. I jumped at the chance. NOSHI NOSHI with Maxi…. Continuing on with the mega Hot Crossed bun tasting…. This could be one of my favorites…As Aussie kids, we all grew up eating Iced Vovo biscuits. Either whole or by scraping the icing a jam off with your teeth and finishing with the biscuit. The hot crossed bun version is just as delicious, though no biscuit but plenty of icing and jam… to maybe pump these out, you could add ham and cream but I enjoyed them plain. NOSHI NOSHI with Maxi… kicking off the “hot crossed bun-off” with the indulgent section… Biscoff is all our favorite at the moment and on paper this should be delicious…The Biscoff spread was very yummy but the bun was a bit “blah”. I did have them straight out of the fridge so maybe warmed up or at rum temp maybe better but I was left with wanting more… (I did eat all the Biscoff spread out of the centre though).
