TOPEKA (KSNT) - The Shawnee County elections office is seeing low voter turnout for Tuesday's special election. 27 News spoke with Shawnee County election commissioner Andrew Howell regarding voter turnout. Christina Valdivia-Alcala will keep her seat on the Topeka City Council, beating opponent Craig McCullah in Tuesday’s general election 837 to 384. Valdivia-Alcala has been in office since 2020.
