Last weekend, Mike and I decided to take a trip to Barnsley Resort. This charming spot is located roughly an hour outside of Atlanta and has activities for everyone! We chose to check out their Fire Kettle Cooking School. This is an intimate outdoor cooking class with Barnsley Resort’s Executive Chef Nicolas Lebas. In each class (there is one every month), Chef Lebas prepares a favorite recipe over the open flame of a Sea Island Forge fire. Meanwhile, attendees enjoy a salad, the featured dish and a small dessert to finish. The dishes are all perfectly paired with a glass of wine! During our c ..read more

Let’s talk about dining goals. First off, I love eating somewhere that not only has amazing food, but also has an amazing view. Which brings me to my introduction of Nikolai's Roof, which resides at the top of the Hilton in downtown Atlanta. Founded back in 1976, this restaurant has been a staple of ATL and I can’t believe I never tried it until now. While I truly wish I could have ordered everything on the menu, I tried the following items during my dining experience: Diver Scallops The Seared Grouper, which was nestled on top of golden quinoa, english pea pesto, baby squash and fava bean ..read more
