Preschool Social Academy has recently decided to start using reusable water balloons this summer. Before now, we did not want to use water balloons due to how wasteful they are, as well as how dangerous they are for local wildlife such as birds, who mistake them for food. These ones are much more eco-friendly. When normal water balloons are disposed of, they pose a threat not only to local wildlife but also to marine wildlife, because the little pieces are so small and easy for all sorts of animals to swallow. So, I know the guidance came out about a year ago that said children should come to school in one mask with two or more changes in their bag. Then everyone went out (or let’s be honest, went online) and bought masks like crazy. Finding masks that fit the children’s faces has been hard. Fitting masks is very important for slowing the spread of COVID, but most masks are too big for their small faces.
