Visited October 9, 2022 Words by Mr. Tee Sometimes when you drive by a mini golf course in the off-season, it is hard to tell whether it’s just in bad shape or if it’s permanently closed. It was very clear with the nearby Snake River Mini Golf was out of business but neighboring courses that closed in subsequent years like Adventure Falls were in operation and similar shape to Wild Water and Wheels. Based on the property’s condition that I could see from the exterior, the entire course and waterpark looked like it had seen better days but wasn’t completely hopeless. Sadly, my searches for inf ..read more

Played multiple times late April 2023 Reviewed by Mr. Tee I love mini golf and I’m quite fond of traveling internationally to explore new cities and cultures. In the past 4 years, I’ve gotten deeply involved in the competitive mini golf world in the United States, especially with my work with the American Mini Golf Alliance (AMA). My plans for competing internationally were initially set for June 2023 for the World Crazy Golf Championship in the UK. Upon hearing the overwhelmingly positive feedback of the CityGolf Tour on the 54 Problems podcast, I started to be intrigued by going to Sweden t ..read more

Played October 14, 2022 Reviewed by Mr. Tee Fellow Minnesota mini golf aficionados Matt Tellander and Brandon Nocerini had shared photos of an outdoor course in Minnesota we had not previously seen with a large tiki head and some decent-looking gameplay. I reached out to the guys of Bro Mediocre (formerly MinigolfUS) to figure out where I could find this course. Much to my surprise, it was at Edgewater Hotel and located just north of downtown Duluth, Minnesota. We were headed Up North in the fall of 2022 to check out the sights and I put Edgewater down as a quick stop. We landed at the hotel ..read more

Visted on October 9, 2022 Words by Mr. Tee I usually take an evening flight back to Minneapolis the day after participating in the Master of Mini Golf in Myrtle Beach. Each year, I’ve aimed to seek out any of the courses I haven’t already played in a city jam packed with optoins. Part of the reason I’m eager to get to every course is that some courses are defunct and likely to be demolished and others are just barely holding on. Plus, we like to try to visit and/or play any course possible in our adventures. After the 2022 Masters, I had a long list of courses either near the airport o ..read more

Reviewed by Mr. Tee Played August 20, 2021 During a family trip to Long Beach Island on the Jersey Shore in 2021, I took a trip up to the northern tip of the island with The Pink Putter and her sister to check out the Barnegat Lighthouse State Park. While the two of them were taking a longer hike, I was keen on checking out the last mini golf course on my list to play on LBI, Jen’s Links. Rating This is easily one of the better themed courses I’ve seen built by the Harris Mianiature Golf company based in New Jersey. I honestly was tempted to give this a Birdie rating based on the incorporati ..read more

Reviewed by Mr. Tee Played April 18, 2023 During my first day in Sweden at Uppsala BGK, I made my way through all of the courses even though I was coming right off of an overnight flight. I know that all of the courses were much different than the styles I can play in the US and I had to play them all a few times. Doesn’t hurt that Uppsala charges a single-day fee to play everything. The early spring weather was a little chilly and windy at times so I opted to hop inside after playing one of the outdoor courses. One of the all-time minigolfers, Carl-Johan Ryner, helps manage the facility and ..read more

Visited on March 23, 2024 Words by The Pink Putter Young Dance is a group that encourages youth in the Twin Cities community to build body and spirit through the art of dance. Their mission is to transform lives through movement. Over this March weekend, we had heard about a pop-up mini golf fundraising event, the “Build-Your-Own Miniature Golf Gala” that this group was doing at a local brewery, Lake Monster Brewing. We knew we had to go check it out! The premise was that there was an open build from 1-4pm where members of the community were invited to come and construct holes from provided m ..read more

Reviewed by Mr. Tee Played June 5, 2023 On our first trip to London, we researched all of the courses in the area to visit as many unique courses as possible. London has been ground zero for a growing and booming trend of adult-focused mini golf paired with a nightlife/bar vibe. Numerous chains have emerged both in the UK and globally in the past 10 years and one of the biggest names in the game is Puttshack.  What started with one location in 2018 has now become 4 locations in the UK and nearly 20 locations across the US. With two new locations set to open in our home of Minnesota in 20 ..read more

Reviewed by Mr. Tee Played April 19, 2023 My first trip to Sweden started with a day at the oldest and one of the best minigolf facilities in the world, Uppsala BGK. I had one day on my own in Stockholm before the CityGolf tournament activities would begin so I plotted out a day exploring the city and of course, lots of different mini golf courses.
