After having to move their wedding from May to August, we could not wait to finally get Katie and Phllip married! Katie’s sister Maggie worked for Handley Breaux Designs so we feel like the Kellers are family to us, and we were so honored to be a part of this wedding planning. Though all of the ups and downs and changes that they had to adapt to, one thing remained the same: Katie and Philip loved each other and could not wait to be husband and wife! Surrounded by their closest family and friends, these two tied the knot at Saint Lukes Episcopal Church followed by a reception at Ovenbird Resta ..read more

Leslie & Dan were married August 1, 2020 in Birmingham. Their planning process - much like many other brides- was met with hurdles due to COVID19, but they handled it with grace and ease. We loved working with Leslie and her mom to create her beautiful wedding day! They have such a sweet mother daughter bond that was really special to witness. When Leslie lived in Birmingham she worked for Brombergs so we would see her frequently when we would shop there! We were so honored when she called us to plan her wedding! Ray Jordan with Flowerbuds has known the family for years and made the recept ..read more

This past August we had the pleasure of celebrating high school sweethearts, Claire and Joe! With an original date in May, we were eager to finally get this couple down the aisle and married. For an August in Birmingham, we couldn’t have asked for better weather. The sun was shining and the breeze was just right. Surrounded by lots of family and friends, we watched Claire and Joe say “I do” at Brookwood Baptist Church before heading to Vestavia Country Club to celebrate. A huge thank you to Prophouse Birmingham for making our banquet visions come to life! Kelly Wilkin did a fabulous job on the ..read more

What a whirlwind 2020 has been! On June 20th we conquered our first “COVID-19” wedding, and it was fabulous. Wedding planning in the middle of a pandemic meant facing challenges and creating lots of changes. Although this wedding was not what Elizabeth and Robert had originally expected, it was perfect in every way. Following their live-streamed ceremony at Canterbury United Methodist Church, the newlyweds celebrated with fifty of their closest friends and family at the Country Club of Birmingham. We worked with Marigold Designs and Prophouse Rentals to create the most unique reception space f ..read more

In January 2020, we celebrated Margaret and Connell with an elegant wedding at Shoal Creek. The ceremony took place in Town Hall and the night followed with dinner and dancing in the Club House. Margaret was such a stunning bride and we love the statement bow on the back of her dress. It made for the best entrance down the aisle. Marigold Designs worked her magic incorporating lots of greenery and wintery hues into all the florals. One of our favorite design elements were the three trees that stood up on the alter. The combination of string lights and floating candles created a romantic ambian ..read more

For my last Style Series blog, I am going to be covering what to wear for a virtual wedding shower. Since it doesn't look like social-distancing standards will be slowing down anytime soon, I wanted to be sure and offer some style advice for any Zoom wedding festivities! I want to start off by noting that I know virtual bridal showers are not the ideal scenario of any bride's dreams! But as we roll with the times, it certainly is the new normal and I have seen SO many brides already take this virtual trend and make it their own. Though you'll be embracing guests with air hugs, it does not mean ..read more

Hi everyone! It’s me again, Styled by M.G! For the next part of our Style Series I am going to be covering what to wear on your bachelorette trip. I have really been looking forward to this one because I had the best time finding outfits for my own bachelorette trip last year. But before I share some outfit ideas and tips to consider while shopping I wanted to share a funny little story about my own bachelorette trip.  SO similar story to how COVID has prevented many brides from going to their originally planned location, well, I had a little hiccup in my plans as well. I was supposed to ..read more

We are so excited for this new blog series! Our friend Mary Glenn McElveen launched her own styling company a few months ago, and we have loved watching it blow up. For years any time we have seen Mary Glenn we’ve always asked her where she got what she was wearing. Now she is sharing those details with everyone! Due to COVID, a lot of our brides have had to reschedule, postpone, or cancel their weddings all together. Some brides have chosen to go ahead and get married with a very small group of people in attendance and have a party later. For those smaller celebrations they may or may not wea ..read more
