691: Ponnanna Ajjamada Bopaiah’s 1964 CJ-3B
I have the pleasure of owning this beauty since a year (2023) and sourced it from a known coffee planter in Coorg (Kodagu- 250 kilometers from Bangalore – India). He was using this beauty for the past 40 odd years in his coffee plantation. The vehicle was in good shape, I had to do a few corrections to the vehicle and have tried to get it as close to stock. Really happy with the final output and wanted to share a few pictures.

I bought my Willys M38 5 years ago and have done outside numbers on front an back, rope front bumper, Star on top, AND a self made simulated Ammo box that I use for pop, and also for miscellaneous storage, and my “hula gal” in in front by dashboard. I live in a small town so it is my summertime means of transportation. . .
The photo with the airplane (C47) behind Jeep is the SAME airplane that first crossed into enemy territory right before D-Day. It carried paratroopers to various parts of key German locations, and they used these different vantage point ..read more

690: Josh Smith’s 1963 Willys FC-170
This is my 1963 Jeep FC-170, originally from Patty Precision Products in Oklahoma. Was equipped early on with a set of gin poles to assist in their business endeavors. Was owned by the family businesses owners for many years before I was able to acquire it from them and fab up a new set of gin poles to fit the brackets they already had in the bed.

My first Jeep purchased in 1964
I’m 82 years old and bought my first Jeep, a 42 Military, in 1964 after getting out of the 82nd Airborne Division at Bragg and starting school at Trenton State College. I taught elementary Health and Physical Education after graduation until 2003. I’ve had Jeeps ever since. MB, CJ-2A, CJ-5 (several), CJ-7 and my CJ-3B.
Unfortunately for Jeep purists I could never keep them totally stock. But many of them were pretty close as shown by the enclosed picture of my 1953 CJ-3B which ran the Stock 4 class in the East Coast Four Wh ..read more

689: Kyle Forbe’s 1949 Willys Truck
I have owned since May 2023. This trucks history as 1982 – 2023 was a Snowplow truck for a small Screen Printing business in my City of Erie. I’m preserving the patina, currently going under full chassis restoration, using all Kaiser Willys parts. AMC wagon 15×8 wheels on BFG 32” give it a boss wide stance look. It’s a Willys that will still sneak farm work in as I own it.
Update from Kyle: Now $17k in Jenny. Mix of Kaiser Willys parts, Jeepsterman & Vintage Jeeper. 29 days till heading to Ohio Spring Willys Reunion. Fhead, T90C & D18 all ..read more

My grandfather purchased this 1956 Willys Wagon to serve as his deer hunting vehicle in 1956. My brother and I would often ride on the front fenders and also learned how to drive a manual transmission. He had his mechanic replace its 6 cylinder motor with a Ford Flathead V8 in the late 50s. The Wagon was heavily damaged when crushed by a fallen tree in 2012, making it necessary to use the body of a 1948 Wagon from the front cowl back to restore it with the front clip (fenders and the hood) from the 1956 Wagon.
The restoration was completed in 2019. I enjoy going ..read more

687: Dave Groff’s 1958 Willys FC-150
When I purchased this vehicle it had black and green primer on the outside and nothing had been finished in the cab or the bed. I then had the engine and transmission rebuilt, painted/cleaned up the inside of the cab, and had the exterior painted. I built and installed the wood bed and trunk. Everywhere we go we turn heads!
