The Best Cream Bronzers for Fair Skin
The Beauty Minimalist

My favorite cream bronzers for pale skin Who doesn’t love a sun-kissed makeup look year round? The key to finding the right bronzer for fair skin is to make sure you only buy a shade or two darker than your natural skin tone. Undertones are crucial to choosing the right bronzer so test and swatch whenever possible. As someone with a pale complexion it can be tricky shopping for a cream bronzer. The purpose of bronzer is to help warm up the face but depending on the undertone, it can look orange or muddy. For reference, I have fair skin with a neutral, leaning cool undertones. 1. Welcome to Terminal G, where customer enter the showroom with a runway-inspired entrance, complete with airplane windows My favorite millennial beauty brand has opened its fifth retail location in Washington, D.C.! Way back in 2018 I visited the Glossier flagship store in New York so I was thrilled when they announced they were opening a permanent store in DC. As an affiliate partner for Glossier, I was lucky to be invited to a sneak peek of the Glossier DC store a few days prior to the grand opening. The new location is inspired by all things aviation and the “jet age.” Glossier is known for ..read more

Glossier Eyeliner: No. 1 Pencil Review & Swatches
The Beauty Minimalist

Today’s post is all about a new-ish product from one of my favorite brands, Glossier Eyeliner, a review of the No. 1 Pencil that is supposed to be longwearing and won’t skip, tug or transfer. No. 1 Pencil is basically the rebirth of Glossier Colorslide (which was discontinued a couple years ago). I’ve always loved colored eyeliner, even if I couldn’t always pull it off in an office setting. Colorslide wasn’t a bad product but it wasn’t memorable for me. Here’s my honest Glossier eyeliner review: These are definitely an upgrade from Colorslide. They glide on perfectly and last all day. The on ..read more

Glamnetic Press-On Nails Review
The Beauty Minimalist

Are press-on nails considered beauty minimalism? I don’t know, but I was determined to find out. When the Glamentic reached out to me on Instagram and asked if I wanted to try their press-on nail kits, I said yes immediately! Pre-pandemic, I used to visit the nail salon fairly often for a traditional gel manicure. Reflecting back, it was expensive and time consuming. I’ve always loved having perfectly polished digits but I no longer have the patience to wait for nail polish to dry. Glamentic sent me two press-on nail kits. I was really eager to try out ‘Sweetener,’ a creamy nude nail look wit ..read more

5 Tips to Spring Clean Your Beauty Bag
The Beauty Minimalist

Happy Spring! Today’s post is an informative one as I’m sharing tips to spring clean your beauty bag. Just like you swap out your winter clothes for spring garments, you should do the same with your makeup and skincare routine. Wash your brushes and sponges. As we all know, makeup brushes and sponges are prime breeding grounds for bacteria. Ideally, you should wash your brushes at least once a week. I try to wash my makeup sponge every 3-4 days. I also like to use these brush cleansing cloths from EcoTools between cleanings as it’s an easy way to wipe off foundation and eyeshadow products. I ..read more
