A Sacred Heart Chapel Wedding Kate and Michael’s wedding day was a southern spring dream! It was our first warm wedding of the season, but a gentle bay breeze kept us from feeling too hot. I photograph a lot of Catholic weddings in the Mobile Bay area and Sacred Heart Chapel is definitely at the top of my list of favorite Catholic churches for a wedding. Many of Kate and Michael’s guests were visiting the area from out of town. I love seeing someone who isn’t from the Mobile Bay area take in the view of the water from Sacred Heart Chapel. It’s easy to forget just how special this place is unt ..read more

A Cathedral-Basilica of the Immaculate Conception Wedding March is one of my favorite months of the year! There is something about the season in between winter and summer that I look forward to every year. Maybe it’s because March is my birthday month, or maybe it’s because I love all the flowers that bloom this time of year, or maybe it’s the color palette of a spring season wedding – or all of the above! I had the best time with Anna and Ben at their engagement session. I could hardly believe eight months flew by from the time we took those photos to this day. It seemed to pass in the blink ..read more

A Bellingrath Gardens Engagement Session Bellingrath Gardens is truly a landmark in our area. It’s a must visit for many tourists and equally loved by locals. I’ve visited the gardens many, many times over the years and it never ceases to impress me. I was excited when Aimee said she wanted to do their engagement session here, as I knew the azaleas would be starting to bloom and that we were likely to see some of my favorite late winter/early spring flowers, tulips and daffodils. Once again, the gardens did not disappoint! Two hours at Bellingrath goes by so fast! We didn’t linger in any one ..read more

A History Museum Wedding I have worked with Sarah’s sweet family multiple times. I first met her mom on a Mobile Bay Magazine shoot years ago and then photographed her twin sister’s wedding in January 2022. Being with them for another wedding day was such a JOY! Growing up, I always wondered what it must be like to have a twin sister. Sarah and her twin sister, Grace, have such a special bond and I felt so blessed to get to document both of their wedding days. This wedding day was full of sentimental details. Sarah and Grace’s mom, Rosemary, is the best gift-giver. I knew she would have somet ..read more

A Sacred Heart Chapel Wedding My team and I arrived at Lily’s family home in Fairhope excited for such perfect wedding day weather. Little did we know that everything about this day would be pure PERFECTION! From all the lovely details, to the sweetest bridal party, beautiful ceremony, gorgeous sunset, and fantastic reception…every minute was a complete joy to document. Lily and Will have such a sweet love story that goes all the way back to their high school years. Their proposal story was one of my favorites. If you missed their proposal story, be sure to check out their engagement session ..read more

A Little Point Clear Wedding It’s hard to believe I’m already three weddings into the 2024 season! I usually don’t book many weddings between January and February, but this year these months are very busy with weddings! I love weddings at Little Point Clear! It was the perfect venue for Hyland and Bob’s beautiful day. The morning of the wedding, Hyland and Bob met up for coffee, which I thought was so sweet. When I arrived to begin photography, everyone was so relaxed. Hyland and Bob wanted to share a First Look before their ceremony, but they wanted the moment to be completely private – mean ..read more

A Christ the King Catholic Church Wedding Both of my January weddings had me spending time with families I’ve known for years. Best of all, I got to see past brides of mine at both of these weddings. This year marks 10 years since I first dipped my toe into the world of photographing couples. Back before I got interested in photographing weddings, I photographed Brooke’s grandparents’ 50th wedding anniversary party. This was WAY before I was even thinking about starting a photography business! Before I was into photography, my dad frequently took candid photos for Mr. and Mrs. Gottstine at so ..read more

A St. Mary’s Catholic Church Wedding Holy Family Church is where I was Baptized, where I received my first Holy Communion and where I received the Sacrament of Confirmation. It’s where my parents were married. And where we went to Christmas Eve Mass with my grandparents for my entire childhood. I attended Holy Family School from Kindergarten through the 8th Grade and Mary Elizabeth was just a few grades younger than me. On top of knowing her from church and school, I grew up just a few houses down from Mary Elizabeth’s family. Our parents go way back and so did our late grandparents. It is so ..read more

My Favorite Engagement Portraits of the Year It’s hard to believe that we’re already two weeks into a new year! This fall marked nine years since I photographed my first engagement session. Most who are familiar with my business now don’t realize that I started out my photography journey avoiding all things wedding-related (even engagement sessions). From the first engagement session I photographed, I was hooked on working with couples. That eventually led me to photographing weddings! Each year I choose my favorite engagement photos of the year to share in one post. It’s fun to look back ove ..read more

A Spring Hill College Engagement Session I feel like I blinked and the second half of December disappeared. Between the holidays, getting sick right at Christmas and kicking off a new year, I find myself wondering how we are already into the second week of 2024. Usually, I have my end of year recap posts up by now, but at some point I accepted that I might have to get to those later in the month than initially planned. It’s kind of like the Christmas cards that I didn’t send out. Some years things don’t go according to plan and that’s ok. Speaking of plans, I always plan to take the first two ..read more
