Prague is one of the most magical places on Earth, in my honest opinion. It is perfect for a romantic or solo trip as well as one with friends. The gluten free options are forever growing too. After my favourite/the most popular gluten free eatery in Prague (Svejk U Karla) shut down during 2020, I made it my mission to find even more goodies for you all when I visited again. I’ve visited here numerous times now and it was essentially my second home for a number of years. Therefore, I feel I’ve had the chance to find so many options for you all over the city. If there are any others you find ..read more

Victoria Sponge Cake

You can’t beat a classic Victoria sponge cake, am I right? It is super simple and only needs the ‘one bowl’ method. The recipe is foolproof and you really cannot go wrong. This Victoria sponge recipe is soft and moreish. Dare I say it tastes like the gluten-filled version too. You can use either buttercream or fresh cream filling for this. I personally prefer cream as I feel it represents a more traditional Victoria sponge. For this, I know there are now a couple of dairy free/vegan double cream alternatives out there. I have tried this recipe using both Elmlea and Coconut Collaborative ..read more

Guide: Gluten free Sofia

Welcome to your gluten free guide for Sofia, Bulgaria. This was one of the more tricky countries, regarding gluten free, which I have ventured to, but I managed nonetheless. The guide isn’t as extensive as my Cambridge and Helsinki guides, for example, but still has plenty of suitable options. I have managed to find a couple of veganised local dishes, such as Tarator (cold soup). After much research, I found a few hidden gems in Sofia. This included a couple of vegan restaurants too. One of my favourites was Soul Kitchen, which had previously been recommended by a friend. I did, however, fin ..read more

Air Fryer Chicken Nuggets

Air fryer chicken nuggets are one of the quickest, delicious and simplest dinner recipes you can make. This recipe is family friendly and I am sure will be a hit with the kids too. It only requires a few ingredients to make which you likely already have at home too. Just cook up a batch and serve with a side of chips or macaroni cheese and peas. Or if you’re feeling more adventurous, how about making it into a salad featuring the chicken nuggets? This whole recipe takes less than 30 minutes to make from start to finish, with only 8 minutes of cooking time. I find the chicken nuggets come ..read more

Guide: Gluten Free Helsinki

If you’re after a gluten free haven then you need to get yourself to Helsinki. I was in awe at the amount of ‘G’ signs I saw on the menus and restaurant boards. Gluten free is a huge thing out in Finland, you’d be surprised. That and also in Estonia – of which I really recommend hopping on the ferry and visiting Tallinn – who are also great for GF diets. The bigger issue boils down more to dairy free. Most things are ‘lactose free’ naturally as they prefer lactose-free milk. You just have to re-iterate ‘dairy free’ multiple times. In the end, it wasn’t too bad overall and I managed to eat an ..read more

Raw Mint Slice

Oh my these raw mint slices are gorgeous! They are quick and simple to make, and are actually somewhat of a ‘zero waste’ recipe. They were born out of my desire to use up some leftover avocados I had in the fridge which were the perfect level of ripe. Instead of leaving them and throwing them out at a later date, I had the idea to utilise the green and make myself a St. Patrick’s day treat. Did you know that you can actually freeze whole avocados (yes, shell and stone too) when fully ripe to help prevent waste? Only do this when they are ready to eat, though. Just shove them in the freezer ..read more

I am beyond excited to finally share with you my vegan white chocolate cheesecake. It is one of the more luxurious no bake desserts I have created. It is one that I make time and time again and it is yet to fail me. Super simple and yet such a crowd pleaser. Perfect for vegans and non-vegans alike. Completely gluten free as always too! This cheesecake only uses 7 ingredients in total yet is completely mind blowing. I must say it has to be one of the best, if not the best white chocolate cheesecake desserts I have ever tasted. I know that is a big statement, but I assure you I am not kiddi ..read more

Homemade Oat Milk

If you’re like me, you’ll spend so much money buying ready-made oat milk (m*lk, mylk etc.) in the shops. I don’t know why it took me so long to start making my own, but it honestly couldn’t be easier. This recipe presents a zero-waste concept (keep reading for the hints and tips) and needs only 2 ingredients at minimum. Of this, you’re already likely to have the ingredients you need at home. How perfect and it could not be more simple too! If you’re not sure by now, oat milk is a plant-based ‘milk’ which is consumed by dairy-free folk and vegans alike. Some non-vegans who I know actually ..read more

White chocolate is literally my favourite thing ever. I could quite honestly devour a whole bar a day. I always have plenty in abundance, so knew I had to try and make it into a new cake recipe. If you’re looking to bulk buy vegan chocolate – I highly recommend Coco’s Pantry as it is where I get all of my baking chocolate from. Everything on there is vegan – just make sure to check it is also gluten free. Here, I have used the moo free white chocolate. I based this one off my 26th birthday cake – the first celebration cake I ever created. It uses a simple yet gorgeous vanilla sponge, sandwic ..read more
