Residents smash $20,000 fundraising goal to support of BC Cancer On March 22, Tapestry at Victoria Harbour formally kicked-off its fundraising campaign to support the new BC Cancer – Victoria Integrated Care and Research Pavilion at a special “Hearts for Giving” event. When Juanita moved into Tapestry at Arbutus Walk in May of 2023 she knew that meant downsizing her space, and wasn’t sure if she would be able to continue entertaining the way she was used to. “We’ve got a fairly big family,” says Juanita, “For all my married life I hosted Christmas and New Year’s and all the big family get togethers. Over time, my son and daughter-in-law started hosting Christmas so I took on New Year’s Day, which I have done for probably the last 10 years,” she adds. A group of residents at Tapestry at Victoria Harbour raised just over $3,100 for the Victoria Hospice last fall, thanks to the motivation and effort of a few key people and support from the broader Tapestry community. Residents at Tapestry at Victoria Harbour that raised just over $3,100 for the Victoria Hospice last fall.
