Peacock Mantis Shrimp are a surprising example of why we are able to believe God is real and the Bible is true as they show us how God designed it “just right”! Look at what Jeremiah 32:17 says – “Ah, Lord God! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you.” Let’s see how the Peacock Mantis Shrimp show us nothing is too hard for God. Measuring at about seven inches long, a Peacock Mantis Shrimp is not tiny – at least for a shrimp! Not only are Peacock Mantis Shrimp “big”, but they are powerful as they are ..read more

I tend not to wonder or think about things like the air we breathe and the percentages of the "ingredients" such as nitrogen and oxygen, in it. But, when I read the following   information about the air, I was amazed! Did you know . . . The air we live in is the perfect combination and perfect balance.  At 79% nitrogen, 21% oxygen, it is perfectly fit for us to breathe . . . so we are able to live!  If the nitrogen and oxygen in our air were divided in half with each other, we would all die immediately due to having too much nitric oxide.  If there was slig ..read more

Living in West Africa is an animal people outside of there didn’t even know existed until 1911 – the Pygmy Hippo. It makes me think of Jeremiah 27:5 - It is I who by my great power and my outstretched arm have made the earth, with the animals that are on the earth. God absolutely knew what He was doing when He designed Pygmy Hippos as one of the animals which evolved on the Earth. Let’s learn what makes them so unique. · Pygmy Hippos are mostly found in Liberia, but some are in Sierra Leone, Guinea, and the Ivory Coast. · While they resemble their larger cousins, the Common Hippo ..read more

Do you have any flowers growing in your yard which give you a sense of happiness to see them in bloom? I live just 30 minutes from Holland, MI - home of the Tulip festival, and as you might imagine, tulips are a big deal in this area. Pretty much everyone around here has tulips which bloom in their flower gardens - even people like me who have the "black thumb of death" when it comes to growing plants! Yes, even I have tulips growing in my little flower garden . . . and I'm being extremely "generous" to call this area of my yard a "garden"! Red tulips primarily, but sometimes yellow or white ..read more

The sand on the coast of Namibia (in southwest Africa) is definitely worth sifting. It contains diamonds! You’ll find green sand, yes, green, in Guam! There is also a green beach on the big island of Hawaii. The sand is green bec ..read more

With Summer just a month or so away, it is likely you - or at least your grandchildren - will be spending time in or on sand . . . at the beach or in a sandbox! Living in the jungles on Sumatra and Borneo are the last of the Sumatran Rhinoceros. They remind me of John 1:3 – All things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made. Let’s take a closer look at Sumatran Rhinos and how they show us God made them. ·   Sumatran Rhinoceros are the smallest rhinos on Earth. ·   They are the only Asian rhino with two horns. ·   Sumatran Rhinos are a hairy rhino – babies are covered with thick reddish-brown hair which thins, turns black, and gets shorter as they age. ·  &nbs ..read more

When I look at the world around me I see detail, wonder, and design. It is impossible for me to believe it all "just happened" or one creature had the intelligence to determine it needed legs or wings or whatever to survive and the ability to just grow those things. I believe God designed  and created our world to evolve with all the wondrous creatures and beautiful features we can see today!Having said this, did you know . . .  The four legs of an elephant all bend forward in the same direction. No other quadruped is made like this. God planned for this animal to have a huge b ..read more
