STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: What Motivated William Wilberforce Fellow Marcelina Haas to be Actively Pro-Life
Students for Life Blog
by Marcelina Haas

When I became a part of the pro-life movement, I was motivated by my personal and deep-rooted conviction in the sanctity of human life from the moment of conception until natural death. While my faith certainly informs this belief, science supports this notion resolutely, despite abortion activists claiming to the contrary.   Campus Impact Oppurtunites for Life  Since my first year at Central Connecticut State University (CCSU), I’ve been involved in conservative activism, including work in the pro-life movement. As co-founder of a conservative group on campus, I quickly made connec ..read more

Students for Life of America (SFLA) President Kristan Hawkins recently participated in a spirited, sometimes chilling, debate with Bethesda, Maryland Pastor Ryan Phipps, which was hosted and moderated by podcaster Tim Pool, for his show “Culture War.”   During the two-plus-hours conversation, Hawkins made the case for why stronger pro-life protections are needed, how the Constitution can and should protect preborn life, and why abortion is the human rights issue of our time.  A select exchange from the interview is below:  WATCH THE FULL INTERVIEW, HERE: Abortion Debate &am ..read more

Unregulated IVF Treats Children Like Widgets – California Fertility Clinic Reportedly Implants Dead Babies into Their Patients
Students for Life Blog
by Jordan Estabrook

The IVF industry is truly the wild west of fertility treatments, and the most tragic, spine-chilling lawsuit from California regarding the implantation of dead embryos only solidifies this observation.   We’re not just talking about the 80% of tiny babies created during IVF that fail to implant or result in a stillborn child according to the Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics. We’re referring to the alarming increase in reported morbid and thoughtless actions that often fly under the radar when children are commoditized through IVF. A few incidents that made it into the light ..read more

It’s a great time for the preborn in Florida, as a lifesaving law took effect early this month.  Last year, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a piece of legislation which was strongly encouraged and supported by Students for Life Action (SFLAction). The Heartbeat Abortion Prevention Act, SB 300, protects preborn babies when their heartbeat is detected at six weeks. This also includes delivering millions in funding for Florida’s Pregnancy Care Network to help further the work of life-affirming resource centers.  “There’s good protections in place now for thousands ..read more

This will be the NINTH Students for Life Action (SFLAction) Event Hosted in Response to the “Where’s Waldo” Biden-Harris Abortion Tour   “Biden and Harris’ abortion extremism didn’t win in Florida, and now, ‘Momala’ Harris is coming to pout about it,” said Students for Life of America President Kristan Hawkins. “Florida voters made their voice heard for the voiceless, but Harris won’t even reveal the exact location where she will ‘boldly’ proclaim her support for aborting babies with beating hearts. But the Pro-Life Generation will be loud, proud, and publicly speaking up for the innocent ..read more

“What about when a woman cannot afford to have a child?”   “Who is going to help her once the child is born?”   “What about the hospital bills?”   These are questions debated every day on college campuses when it comes to not only the broad issue of abortion but also the capability of women and the strength of the family. These themes are woven into the new movie Unsung Hero, which is based on a true story and firmly built on the idea of family, the power of mothers, and the value of life.   “When David Smallbone’s successful music company collapses, he ..read more

Mount Saint Mary’s University Dubbed April’s Group of the Month!

The presence of an active Students for Life of America (SFLA) group at an openly pro-choice university is crucial to changing minds and hearts for life. Though it may seem daunting and near impossible to create change, something is inspiring about a small but determined group of pro-life students standing against a hostile administration. Such groups are desperately needed in our current social and political climate, but what about pro-life universities? Is there work to be done at schools that have been historically conservative and pro-life?    If you asked the students of Mou ..read more

This School Year’s Mission: Playing “Where’s Waldo?” With Kamala Harris and Joe Biden
Students for Life Blog
by Jordan Estabrook

As abortion continues to heat up in multiple states this coming primary election, President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris prove to their abortion supporters just how serious, brave, and bold they are on abortion extremism. That is, if you consider “bold” being hiding the exact location of your abortion advocacy event and shielding the public from asking actual, hard-hitting questions. But no one is buying that, and certainly no one at Students for Life of America (SFLA). SFLA students and staff stopped sharpening their pencils and picked signs to play a nationwide game of “Where ..read more

With abortion on the ballot in Florida this November, Students for Life of America (SFLA) is laser-focused on informing Floridians, including rallying, mobilizing, door-knocking, tabling, campus conversations, and attending coalition meetings. Kristan Hawkins visited Miami, along with our brand-new billboard truck, and we protested President Joe Biden in Tampa.  From now until November, we’re all hands-on deck, ensuring Floridians not only vote pro-life first but also “Vote no on Amendment 4” in the ballot box. We’ve been busy.   Education Through Door Knocking  SFLA had our fir ..read more
