We have had a lot of questions about just what makes the CrossRiver CNC Router better than the SilverBack CNC Router. So we wanted to take a few minutes to review the machine, and point out the key changes that we've implemented to make this our premiere machine.  We initially had planned to do a live review session, but instead have done just a quick walkthrough recording here in the showroom with a side-by-side look at both machines. This allows you to go back and review at any time, without having to look for an older live session. Check out the video below, and if you have any qu ..read more

How To Laser Cut A Beautiful Jigsaw Puzzle
YoraHome
by Janice Sherriffs

Before the days of PS5s and Xboxes, those of us of a certain age made our own fun. If we weren't playing outside, building dens or tree houses, or making mud pies, or if it was raining heavily, we could usually be found inside playing games and puzzles. I loved jigsaws, old school I know, but great fun. Putting the pieces together to make the picture complete felt so gratifying, I probably wouldn't have used that word, but it was. I've seen personalized jigsaws before now, so I thought I'd have a try at making one with my YoraHome Laser Engraver Cutter coupled with a 20W Diode Laser. 1.&n ..read more

YoraHome
by Janice Sherriffs

One of the things I have found with using my YoraHome machines is that I generate quite a lot of scrap. It’s not just that I make mistakes and have to start again, most of the time, anyway. When that happens, a wood burner is handy. But, it’s more that the size of the materials I use compared to the size of my projects don’t always match and tend to leave me with many pieces left over. For example, one of my favorite things to do now is 3D layered designs, such as Dog Faces. 1. Where Can You Find 3D SVGs? There are several on-line sites that sell 3D or Multi-layer SVGs as they are sometimes ca ..read more
