There are a lot of young quarterbacks watching Jalen Hurts lead the Philadelphia Eagles (10-2) today and there's a good chance one of them who makes it to the league will recall memories of watching him and others when they get ready to launch their own NFL careers. Heisman Trophy finalist and Washington Huskies quarterback Michael Penix Jr. is a little old to have idolized Hurts, but there's another Eagles quarterback he recalls fondly. "I didn't grow up a fan of any NFL team," Penix Jr. said in an exclusive interview with Men's Journal. "I was more of a player guy. You know, I grew up watchi ..read more

Since the Cowboys lost 28-23 to the Eagles in Week 9, they've done everything they needed to do to bounce back. Winners of four in a row while scoring 40-plus points in three of those contests, Dallas needs a win over Philadelphia on Sunday night if it has any hopes of securing an NFC East division title in 2023. The Cowboys boast a 14-game home winning streak - the longest such streak for Dallas since 18 in a row from 1979-1981 at the legendary Texas Stadium. This is also a matchup between two star quarterbacks and MVP candidates in Dallas' Dak Prescott and Philadelphia's Jalen Hurts. Jalen H ..read more

DEC 9 BIG DOM The NFL is prohibiting Philadelphia Eagles security chief Dom DiSandro from being on the sideline for Sunday night's road game against the Dallas Cowboys due to his role in the sideline altercation with San Francisco 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw last week. DiSandro will still maintain his normal duties during Sunday's game. It's unclear if this sideline ban will be for the remainder of the season. However, per ESPN's Adam Schefter, this decision appears to be ongoing. "DiSandro and other Eagles’ officials met Friday morning at the league office in New York with commissioner Roge ..read more

PHILADELPHIA – Jason Kelce’s rookie season was nearly over, a season in which he started all 16 games for the Philadelphia Eagles, including the next-to-last one in Dallas on Christmas Eve, 2011. The game didn’t mean much for the Cowboys, so Tony Romo took a seat after two throws, yielding to Stephen McGee. Dallas was saving up for what amounted to a win-and-in playoff game against the New York Giants the following week. The Eagles were putting a bow on what would turn out to be an 8-8 season. No one knew it then, but that would be the last time the Eagles defeated the Cowboys in both regular ..read more

Buffalo Bills players who were involved in an ugly scene after their recent overtime loss to the Eagles in Philadelphia are now explaining that their heated and physical exchange with a fan was the result of the audience at The Linc "making life-threatening remarks towards us and our families.'' Said the Bills' Jordan Phillips, who approached one allegedly offending Eagles fan: "I love the crowd I love rowdy fans it makes the game fun. But one thing I’m not going to tolerate is someone threatening me or my family. This is a line that shouldn’t be crossed." Added Buffalo teammate Shaq Laws ..read more

Eagles Fans Want to 'Run the Ball' But Get Coffee Instead

The Philadelphia Eagles (10-2) are arguably the best team in the NFL given their record is better than any other. However, following a 42-19 beatdown at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers (9-3) in Week 14, some feel the wheels are about to fall off the Eagles's championship aspirations. In the loss, Philadelphia quarterback Jalen Hurts threw for 298 yards and a touchdown but it took 45 passes to do it. Meanwhile, the team ran the ball just 18 times all game and that includes seven by Hurts himself. And that has fans not just clamoring for more rushing mixed into the game plans, but outr ..read more

After the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Dallas Cowboys 28-23 in early November, receiver A.J. Brown felt like a lock to be a First-Team All-Pro selection, and one of the leading candidates for Offensive Player of the Year. Heck, during the Week 10 bye, we even mentioned the possibility of him entering the wide-open NFL MVP race.  But as the Eagles enter their second matchup with the Cowboys, there's much less certainty all around. After being throttled by the San Francisco 49ers a week ago, the Eagles will need to defeat the Cowboys a second time to hold onto the top spot in both the N ..read more

PHILADELPHIA – Jason Kelce was the one who broke the news to Lane Johnson during a positional meeting. The Philadelphia Eagles center told Johnson that he was the team’s nominee for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award. Kelce had a difficult time keeping his emotions in check when he did so. “I think Lane has been an underappreciated player in the league for a long time,” said Kelce. “In particular, he’s not as out in the open or boisterous of a personality. But I think some of the things that he’s overcome and persevered through has helped a lot more people than people realize.” Johnso ..read more

Surprise! Eagles' Blankenship Leads Pro Bowl Voting at His Position

PHILADELPHIA – Maybe it was his interception of Aaron Rodgers in a primetime game last year. Maybe it’s all the nationally televised games the Philadelphia Eagles play. Maybe he is just that good. Whatever it is, and it’s probably all the above and more, it hasn’t taken very long for second-year Eagles strong safety Reed Blankenship to make a name for himself. It’s a name that appeared on the NFL’s first release of fan voting for the Pro Bowl when Blankenship was listed as getting the most votes of any NFC strong safety. “It’s not surprising,” said Eagles cornerback James Bradberry. “I see the ..read more
