Until now, however, there are few efficient and reliable methods for identifying these difficulties. Our lab, led by Adam Eggebrecht, PhD, is a diverse and interdisciplinary team with research focus on developing brain imaging tools for evaluating brain-behavior relationships in children who are autistic, non-autistic, or who have autistic family members. The Massachusetts General Hospital for Children at the Lurie Center is currently recruiting for a research study that will evaluate emotional and physical symptoms of anxiety in youth with autism spectrum disorder through questionnaires, wearable devices, and a laboratory stress assessment. I am studying the effectiveness of an 8-week, Youtube-delivered nutrition education program among parents of children with autism and weight issues (overweight/obesity). Parents will be watching 2 videos (less than 4 mins each) per week and answering surveys at Week 1, Week 4 and week 8. Surveys are easy, takes less then 3 minutes to complete.
