Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has endorsed completely unrestricted abortion “even if it’s full term.”
“My belief is that we should leave it to the woman, we shouldn’t have government involved,” Kennedy said on an episode of “The Sage Steele Show” aired on Wednesday.
Steele, who is a Catholic, pressed Kennedy further on whether he holds this position for the entirety of pregnancy, saying that “as a Catholic that definitely is a concern with many practicing Catholics.”
Kennedy responded ..read more

Tell us a little bit about you personally: Where are you from, your home parish, what’s your family like, etc.
I grew up on the farm with my extended family in Miami County, near Tipp City. I loved being on the farm from the cows, to our pond and creek to play in, to bring surrounded by my family. We still attend Sacred Heart in New Carlisle where I spent my whole life growing up in the choir with many of my family members. One of my favorite memories is the couple of years I was able to sing in the tenor section with my grandpa Jim. My father, Tony, farmed with his brothers, and my mom ..read more

As 206 countries prepare to send their top athletes to participate in the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics, the Vatican is organizing an event to look at the relationship between the Catholic Church and sports, through both a spiritual and anthropological lens.
“In the current context of wars tearing our world apart, Olympism is first and foremost a message of peace, and the commitment of the universal Church, like that of France, is essential. The role of the Church in promoting Olympism is well known,” said Florence Mangin, the amba ..read more

Christ’s ascension is meant to help us to grow to full stature in Christ as we respond to his confidence in making us his missionaries, together with the Holy Spirit, to renew the face of the earth.
The celebration of the solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord is an annual opportunity for us not only to focus on heaven, where the Lord Jesus has gone to prepare a place for us (Jn 14:1-6) and on the joy that “eye has not seen, ear has not heard, nor the human heart conceived,” which “God has prepared for those who ..read more

Denver Newsroom, May 14, 2020 / 02:00 am MT (CNA).- When Jesus rose from the dead three days after the crucifixion, he appeared for 40 days thereafter to his apostles and many of his other followers in his physical, glorified body.
And that glorified body, while it was still recognizable as the man of Jesus, could do some pretty amazing stuff – like walking through walls and suddenly appearing or disappearing.
After 40 days, while together with his apostles, Jesus “was lifted up, and a cloud took him from their sight.”
The belief of the Catholic Church, expressed in Scripture an ..read more

Archbishop of Cincinnati Dennis Schnurr has been diagnosed with cancer, the archdiocese revealed this week, with the prelate set to begin preparing for chemotherapy treatment this week.
An archdiocesan spokesman told CNA on Wednesday morning that on Friday the archbishop “received a post-operation diagnosis of stage 3 small bowel cancer.”
“His doctor noted that, generally speaking, the archbishop’s health is excellent, and that is certainly a source of optimism for the success of the treatment,” the archdiocese said.

When someone asks me where I am from, I never know exactly what to tell them. To many in seminary, I am from the middle of nowhere. I grew up in the country in Yorkshire, Ohio (A place that no one has heard of. It has a post office, a stop sign (not a stop light), and a bar- that’s pretty much all). I usually never actually say I am from Yorkshire because no one knows where that is unless they are from my area, and even then, some do not know where it is. I went to school at Versaille ..read more
