Greens Free Campground While in the Gold Fields of Victoria we thought we’d try our hand at gold prospecting. We found many bullets and bits of metal BUT we did find one little specimen of gold! Eureka! There’s also quarts crystals that the kids enjoyed finding. And every one was special and had to come back to camp ? The camp ground was easy to access on a good dirt road, and we fit 3 vans in one of the bays. There’s drop toilets but no phone reception. A good little campsite on Blowering Dam, very busy and noisy on weekends with loud boats, but most people behaved. On a weekday would be a good time to visit to avoid the weekend warriors.
