In an extremely saddening incident, no less than 50 worshippers including many children were killed in southwestern Nigeria’s  St. Francis Catholic Church by gunmen on Pentecost Sunday. The mass killing was conducted by the gunmen by firing shots and detonating explosives in the church. It has been reported that a priest was also abducted. Walter Hooker has to undergo dialysis three days a week because his kidneys are functioning at only around 10 percent. That’s about to change because of his pastor. Hong Kong’s former Catholic bishop, Cardinal Joseph Zen, 90, has been arrested for his support of a now-dissolved pro-democracy group,  612 Humanitarian Relief Fund. Zen served as a trustee for the group, which supported participants in a series of pro-democracy protests by helping with the payment of legal fees.
