Camp is all outdoors, all the time. Dressing right helps us conquer anything nature throws our way. A couple of pointers on how to dress for camp: Clothes WILL get dirty. Don’t wear anything that you care about getting stains on. Closed-toe shoes are a must for everybody. (No, socks with sandals are not closed-toed) Things that hold heat, like jeans, are not going to be comfortable out in the Texas heat. Items that help block out sun, like hats, are great! Jinx Jinx just graduated from Oklahoma State University in May with a degree in Elementary Education, and she is now in graduate school at Oklahoma State to pursue a master’s in special education. This is Jinx’s 7th summer working at camp, but she was a camper every year she could, starting at 5 years old. This is a second home to her, and her favorite thing to do at camp is swimming and all things ropes! Yellman Yellman is currently attending UTA as a Psychology major and a member of the UTeach program. After graduation, he plans on using the knowledge and skills he’s gained to aid him as a teacher. He has a passion for children and loves getting to know all of his campers. Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah is thrilled to be returning to Camp Thurman for another summer! This will be her second summer serving, and she is currently a rising junior at Southern Methodist University. Wonderland Brittyn will be attending Tarleton State University starting next semester and will be studying Communication with a focus on Public Relations and Event Management.
