Following the 3rd round victory against Crystal Palace, Ed Marshall looks at why Wolves should go all out to win the FA Cup.
The FA Cup conjures up images of nostalgia, especially as a Wolves fan. Arsenal semi-final, THAT Newcastle game and I have a vague memory of a game on BBC1 against Hoddle’s Chelsea.
Over the last 10-15 years the FA Cup seems to be not even a second thought anymore. Teams don’t care, not even Premier League ‘top six’ either. Struggling Championship teams put out players even Football Manager die-hards haven’t heard of. I feel this is a massive show of disrespect, not just ..read more

Image – Sky SportsWhen it comes to individual performances, sometimes, like my previous instalment, a player reaches beyond their usual levels to answer the need of the team, before reverting back to type and going on to make less of an impact, writes Gully Kular. That player is Helder Costa.
Sometimes though, an individual is exactly that – a stand-out in a sea of mediocrity, a lighthouse on a darkened coast, a rose in the thornbush, a player so far ahead of the rest it becomes obvious on a frequent basis.

Watch this. You can pinpoint the second every Wolves fan heart breaks at Wembley.
Yep it wouldn’t be me without shoehorning a Simpsons reference even in one of Wolves’ darkest hours.
Wolves were moments from an FA Cup Final, but still lost in extra-time to opponents Watford.
As much as this will be a ‘what if’ moment for years to come, this gut wrenching afternoon needs to be a lesson learned for this still young side.

Wolves, eh. It’s still a bit of a dream, really.
Someone will wake me up, and the next thing I know I’ll be scrolling on my phone seeing Wolves have conceded a last minute winner to Brentford on a cold Tuesday evening, with Wolves lying in 16th in the Championship.
Yet on Saturday night, Diogo Jota slams in Wolves’ second of the evening against Manchester United in the FA Cup Quarter-Final and a new reality sets in.

In terms of games no one really wants to play, this is top of the pile.
I never want to see Wolves lose but I can’t pretend I’d be too devastated to quietly bow out of the FA Cup tonight.
We’ve got more important things to focus on and any bookings/injuries that could occur in the Cup and hinder our League campaign would best be avoided.

As always, these are taken from SkyBet.
Either team to win in extra time
There was little to choose between Wolves and Swansea last time out, it’s fair to say we probably had the better of the chances but ..read more
